Britney Spears set Instagram ablaze on Wednesday, taking to the platform with a stunning beach video of herself in a super-tiny bikini. The 38-year-old pop icon has been making headlines this week for showing fans her recently-broken foot, but the dance injury was nowhere to be seen as the “Toxic” singer updated her account earlier today.
Given that Britney just showed Instagram her dancing injury in a cast, though, it’s likely that the singer’s video was a throwback to September 2019, when she took a sun-drenched break out on the idyllic islands.
Britney’s video mostly showed shorefront moments, although the yellow bikini donned as the “Womanizer” singer caught some rays continued as she took a brief moment to share the island’s beautiful yellow flowers.
Over on the beach, Britney was looking sensational. The mom of two was flaunting her yoga-honed body in a string bikini that wasn’t leaving much to the imagination, with Britney seen reclining on her back as her bronzed skin soaked up the sun. The blonde also wore a beige hat with black piping – the same look was seen as Britney was snapped by the paparazzi in the fall of last year.
Britney was also shown running into the sea and appearing carefree.
Britney’s video definitely brought in the views, clocking an impressive 150,000+ in under 20 minutes. Fan comments poured in, although users immediately appeared to question if the video was recent.
“Wow your leg healed so fast,” a fan wrote, but their heart-eye emoji steered clear of being aggressive.
More pressing, was the fan who opted out of any softening smileys: “Um I thought you had on an ankle boot,” the user wrote.
“I love Hawaii!” one fan simply exclaimed.
Britney hadn’t mentioned Hawaii in her caption, but her previous video had – the caption to this video simply read: “Such a great place !!!!!!!!!!?????☕️.”
Shortly before posting her beach video, Britney updated her Instagram in selfie mode as she spoke into the camera from Maui. The footage showed the singer from under a hat as she detailed the sound of tweeting birds in the background, but an audible British accent left fans concerned for the star’s mental health.
Britney suffers from bipolar disorder, also coming with a long and public mental health history that’s landed her a conservatorship status set to continue for some months – Britney’s father controls her finances.
Britney may spark concern on the psychological front, but few negative remarks come in over her super-fit body. The star kicked 2020 off with a power bikini yoga workout, also vowing to do more acro yoga this year.
“In 2020 I will be doing a lot more acro yoga and the basics for yoga …. I’m a beginner and it’s kind of hard to let go …. learning to trust and letting someone else hold your body ? !!! I have a lot of things I keep bottled up so I have to keep my body moving !!!!…” she wrote.
