Robinson Jr. was having an amazing preseason prior to the unfortunate shooting. Many were even speculating that the rookie could have been named the starting running back for the Commanders.
At this time, there is not a concrete timeline as to when the 23-year-old will return. The Rookie running back is currently listed on the Commanders’ Non-Football Injury list, which means NFL fans shouldn’t expect to see him play until Week 5 at the earliest. However, if Robinson continues physical therapy and remains positive as he’s been these last few days, the rookie could come back sooner.
The former Alabama star was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the third round of this year’s NFL draft. The Commanders had their first game of the season on Sunday, September 11 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, beating them 28-21. In Week 2, the Commanders will take on the Detroit Lions.
