Future, who was born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn on November 20, 1983, is a singer, songwriter and popular rapper. The singer spent most of his life in Atlanta Georgia, where he was born. Future came up with his stage name when he joined a musical collective group known as “The Dungeon Family.” He performed at various events with the group and his nickname, Future, name stuck ever since.

As time went on, everyone knew that Future had potential and was going. To do great things in the future.

One of his first cousins, Rico Wade, who was also a member of the band Future was part of advices him to improve on his songwriting and to stick to the rapping line.

Future has never failed to mentioned that Wade was a huge part of his success in the musical world as his continuous advice helped him become a better rapper every day. Future once referred to his first cousin as the mastermind behind his sound and for that he is eternally grateful.

After his High School education in Columbia High School, Future cane in co tact with another rapper from Atlanta known as Rocko. He and Future came to a settlement and that landed the young rapper a label deal at A1 Recordings owned by Rocko.

Future worked endlessly to be a recognized rapper and by 2011, he had already released several mixtapes that became the highlight of his rap career. Some of the notable mixtapes that fans are still talking about till date include; “True Story,” “1000,” and “Dirty Sprite.”

Future entered into a partnership with a lot of incredible rappers, one of who was Gucci Mane. However, his career breakthrough came about when DJ Esco of Magic City played his song in a club that has been responsible for launching the careers of several great rappers and singers today.

In September 2011, Future landed a record deal with Epic Records, and this out him in the spotlight and in the midst of several amazing rappers whom he either looked up to or admired.

Recently, Future won his first Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance in “King’s Dead” and everyone was psyched for him. He also teamed up with Drake in early 2020 to release two songs titled “Desires” and “Life is Good.”

Future is a father to six children from six different women although one of the women is still in identified at this point. He was engaged to Ciara in October 2013, however, she ended it in 2014, citing his infidelity as the only reason.
