He also described his relationship with his audience as “the biggest love affair of [his] life.” The star, who grew up with his parents in Birmingham, revealed that he started performing on stage in middle school. He used to represent his class during school plays.

However, he dropped out of school at the age of 15. He then started singing for some local rock groups before starting his own band, Black Sabbath, with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.

In 1970, Black Sabbath released their first-ever album, “Paranoid.” The heavy metal project soon increased their fame in the rock music world with hits like “War Pigs” and “Paranoid,” which inspired the album name.

The star revealed that he “got really messed up” and took more drugs and alcohol than he usually would. “I didn’t give a shit about anything. I would drink myself stupid,” he said. Following this, his then-band fired him over the substance abuse. This incident made things even worse for him as he drowned his pain in the bottles and pills.

He recalled spending several weeks in his hotel room before his friend, Sharon Arden, encouraged him to take a break from drinking and taking drugs. He’d met her a while before then when her father, Don Arden, was the manager of Black Sabbath. She also became his wife and a new manager and helped him resume his career.

A year later, he released his 1980 debut song “Crazy Train,” which went on to become one of Osbourne’s most successful songs today.
