Singer Britney Spears is not afraid to get vulnerable with her fans.
After her 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021, the "Hold Me Closer" singer has been pretty vocal on social media about the trauma she has endured.
In a new video posted on Tuesday night, Britney cried on camera for the first time in a while as she danced for her millions of social media followers.

On Tuesday night, Britney took to Instagram in a white crop top and black shorts as she spun for the camera.
“It’s been a while since I’ve cried on camera 🥲 !!!” she wrote in the caption. “It’s not a breakdown a--holes, it’s a release that I’ve needed for a very long time now 🥹 !!! Spiritual experience for sure !!! I think I need to do that way more 🌹🌹🌹 !!! Psss… bawling.”
Many fans were there to support her, with one fan telling her to “Release all that bad energy.” Another follower told her, “Vulnerability is the strongest act of kindness.”
“If we don’t release our tears they build up and are stored as pain. I am in awe of how you process your emotions so gracefully,” another user commented. “Express yourself always Queen! Hate always gonna hate but the true fans are here for you!” another fan shared.

The “Gimme More” singer is no stranger to sharing and resharing photos of her favorite outfits on social media. In another post on Tuesday night, she shared an Instagram carousel full of photos of different outfits, including a short green dress and lacy red lingerie. In the first photo, it looks like Britney is topless underneath her blazer, wearing hot pink bikini bottoms with black heels.
“Reflecting WAAAY back … here’s a photo dump from 2021 🌹🌹🌹 !!!!” she wrote in the caption. As one fan pointed out, “This ain’t wayyy back lol last year is just last year ❤️.” Another follower commented, “You looked icon then, you look iconic now.”
However, several users criticized for using the same camera angle and for repeating so many past posts.
“Maybe stop worrying so much about posting pics of yourself and focus on your family and well…yourself? I adore you. Lately though, very disappointed in your behavior,” one user wrote. “Body shaming, calling out your young children in long rants on social media (how embarrassing for them when they go to school), and telling your family to burn in hell? Not the Britney I have admired for years.”
Britney Spears Wished Her Boys A Happy Birthday... But That Might Cause Problems
In yet another Instagram post on Tuesday night, the “Oops!...I Did It Again” singer wrote, “Happy birthday Preston and Jayden 🎉🎈!!! Love you both so much 🥰 !!! These photos are from last year !!!”
Although some fans praised Britney for sharing the love of her sons, other fans pointed out that her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston, have cut off contact with her because they were unhappy with her social media use.
Jayden turned 16 on Monday, September 12, while Preston turned 17 on Wednesday, September 14.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Jayden said that both he and his brother Preston, who did not appear during the interview, have repeatedly asked their mother to stop sharing photos of them with her millions of social media followers.
Jayden revealed that Preston “asked my mother not to post his photos, and she did it anyway. So it didn’t go well.” He added that “social media helps her… So if that’s what she wants to do, that’s what she wants to do. I’m not going to hate her for that.”
“At the same time, she should come to the realization of whatever it is that stops her from loving her family,” he continued. “It’s almost like she has to post something on Instagram to get some attention,” Jayden said, adding, “This has gone on for years and years and years and there’s a high chance that this will never stop, but I’m hoping for me that she will stop.”
