Many celebrities in Hollywood have distinguishing features, and for Whoopi Goldberg, it's her lack of eyebrows and dreads. The actress recently spoke on "The View" about the feature with co-hosts Ana Navarro and Alyssa Farah Griffin. Goldberg explained that she had gone through most of her life without real eyebrows and was used to it.
The 66-year-old, who has starred in several renowned films like "Sisters Act" and "Sarafina," revealed that she only gets eyebrows when she works on sets. While Goldberg's lack of eyebrows might surprise many, it's of little impact on her career. She is one of the 17 celebrities to have won an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony awards.
The hosts also mentioned celebrities who have made the "no-brow look" popular in recent years, from Lady Gaga in the mid-2010s to Doja Cat in the past few weeks. Goldberg then told fans why she has had no eyebrows for a long time.

Why Whoopi Goldberg Has No Eyebrows
The EGOT winner explained per People, that she doesn't remember "her face with eyebrows." When the hosts asked why she revealed that she had been shaving them since she was a little girl. The star had to pick between her eyebrows and a bumpless face.
Goldberg said, "I had eyebrows as a little kid and you know how men get those bumps? I started to get them on my face so my mother removed them." The star explained that she's now used to seeing her face without natural eyebrows and keeps them shaved off.
She said, "And so I just keep doing it because I don't know my face with eyebrows unless I'm working — they put them on and take them off." Goldberg also revealed that people barely noticed that she had no brows.
Her Co-Hosts Didn't Notice
Goldberg has been on "The View" with Sara Haines for over six years. However, Haines revealed that she had no idea that the comedian didn't have eyebrows. The other panelist, Navarro also admitted that she "was today years old" when she found out.

While this shocked the "Rat Race" actress, she understood why they didn't notice. Goldberg explained that people look at her and expect there to be hair above her eyes. Because of this, they assume that she has eyebrows like most other people.
She said, "Listen, what you can see on my face, you know where they went. You know where they are. You see. So when you're looking at me, your eye sees eyebrows when there are none." Apart from her fans and co-hosts, some people close to the star didn't notice a lack of brows either.
Whoopi Goldberg's Ex-Husband Also Didn't Notice
The "Alice in Wonderland" star revealed that her ex-husband didn't realize that she had no brows. However, Goldberg didn't clarify who she was referring to since the TV personality has been married three times.
She was first married to Alvin Martin, with whom she had three kids between 1973 and 1979, then to director David Claessen from 1986 to 1988, and to fellow actor Lyle Trachtenberg from 1994 to 1995.
Her husband at the time looked at her face one day and suddenly realized that she had no eyebrows. She said, "I was married to a man who did not notice until one day he said, 'Oh my God, you don't have any eyebrows,' and I said, 'Yeah, I know.'"
Other Celebs With The Look
While Goldberg recently made headlines with the revelation, other celebrities have recently embraced the no eyebrow look. 26-year-old rapper and singer Doja Cat recently shared photos of herself rocking the no-eyebrow look.
The star shocked fans by shaving off her hair and eyebrows and showing off her new look on social media. Some other celebs that recently hopped on the trend include Kendall Jenner, Madonna, and Amandla Stenberg, and Lady Gaga.
Following the chat show episode, fans commended Goldberg for boldly speaking on the topic. They also praised her for success in the industry despite having no brows. "Whoopi Goldberg didn't need her eyebrows to win her EGOT, none of your faves can say the same," a Twitter user said.
