A few days ago, there was a tweet that sparked a fire. The tweet is below for anyone that wishes to see the proof of this awesome idea.
It says, ‘Hey @TLC you know what show would be a hit? @jillmdillard and @derickmdillard: Breaking Free. They have a story to tell and it’s time for some truth to be told! It would be amazing to see their journey.’
Derick, actually liked this tweet, which signaled his return to social media after an apparent break since the end of 2019.

It is also doubtful that the couple would choose to return to TLC. Still, there’s hope. Any other network could pick up this idea and run with it to the highest of ratings. Because let’s all face it, this idea is awesome. A show telling Jill and Derick’s truth is NECESSARY after all of the drama with Jill’s family.
Derick is not scared to tell the truth about how he feels about Jill’s parents. He does not like them, not one little bit.

On February 13 of this year, he even joked on Twitter about a new book coming out when someone posted a response to one of his tweets asking about his ability to ‘afford law school’ and ‘a brand new custom house.’ Honestly, was this a hint instead of a joke?
Someone, PLEASE confirm that Derick is writing a book. It would most likely answer SO MANY questions that we all have about the Duggar family and why Derick and Jill are choosing not to associate with her parents.

According to Derick, Jill and her siblings were forced into filming on the TLC show by Jim Bob, the Duggar family patriarch. This was brought to light in comments Derick left on Instagram. His comments went on to explain why he and Jill chose to leave their contract with TLC. Derick is all about letting fans know the truth of what is going on, regardless of who tries to cover it up. A book would be a perfect way to share everything that he may know.

Derick also went on to say that Jim Bob was the only one in the family that was actually paid by TLC. While this has not been confirmed, the Gosselins were, in fact, paid as a group. So if this shows a standard that TLC imposes, we can believe Derick.
Something is definitely up. Jill has not been pictured with her family or written about on her family’s social media in three years. The couple obviously is doing their own thing. They’re happy raising their two young kids, and they seem to be focusing on that in the last few days with Israel being registered for kindergarten.
Still, Derick has MANY reasons for wanting a spin-off show, perhaps just to get the truth out there for whoever is willing to hear it.
