It’s always sweet to see celebrities praising one another. Jessica Simpson has done just that as she continues her book tour. Simpson recently got candid while promoting her memoir, “Open Book”. During an interview with “Entertainment Tonight”, Simpson talked about growing up in the industry and her opinion on one of the most controversial beefs to never happen. Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears seemed to have a rivalry back in the late 90s and early 2000s as their stars rise it was clear that these two were being pitted against one another.

Simpson, 39 spoke about their made up beef and what she saw go down. “We grew up in a very competitive environment when it came to our record labels and being pushed to do things that were unnecessary for success,” said Simpson. She describes the women as strong, in control and “unique”. "I think everybody's careers have their own unique stories,” said the mom of three. “I love that Britney owns herself, Christina owns herself, and they don't let the world control them. They just are themselves, and that's who I am as well.”

Simpson, thankfully, did not let the industry get their hooks all the way in her. She stood out amongst the Christina’s and the Britney’s because of her strong faith. She also had her dad as her manager who came off as quite strict with his daughters. Simpson told “Entertainment Tonight” that she is pretty impressed with how everyone’s careers turned out. “Everybody has found their own way, in such a beautiful, inspiring way,” says Simpson. “I just love it that everybody has remained authentically who they are. There's so much room at the top! I mean, think about how many people are in heaven! Come on.”

Simpson’s book has opened up a lot of cans of worms lately. Vanessa Lachey had a few choice words for Simpson about her relationship with Nick and how it was discussed in the book. Fans were also shocked to learn that she had a problem with abusing pills and an eating disorder for six long months. Writing the book has definitely helped Simpson to heal and in turn she hopes that her fans will understand not only her better, but the industry and how it can truly mess with young stars.

Simpson added in the interview that she believes there is room for everyone so there really is no need for competition. “There's a lot of room at the top and I am happy to share any top slot with anybody.” Simpson added, “but the fact that I'm even considered at the top is a very funny thing, because I'm a dreamer, so I have more things to do.” What more can Simpson have to do with an already pretty amazing career? Don’t worry, she doesn’t have a Las Vegas residency like Christin and Britney, but she is considering Broadway. “I like to move people and give them chills and take them through the emotion of the story.” Sounds like the perfect fit.
