The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars is here. And, it has been a long time coming. That being said, fans still can’t binge through the entire show quite yet.
Rather, Disney is trickling out episodes of the long awaiting season one at a time. The episodes will not be releasing on a typical schedule, however.
None the less, Disney has provided a breakdown of when fans can expect each of the eight episodes for the highly anticpated show’s final season to be released.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars is an animated series that covers events set within the three year period between the films Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones and Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. During this period, Anakin Skywalker is paired with padawan Ahsoka Tano. Jedi Knight Obi-wan Kenobi is tasked with leading the clone army alongside Jedi Master Yoda. Meanwhile, the sith plot to deceive and destroy everything the Jedi continue to work for.
The show’s latest teaser trailer was recently released, revealing a new fighting force for the clone army.
The new video is titled “The Bad Batch” and features a slew of new characters. “The Bad Batch” is quickly revealed to be the name of a band of misfit clone fighters, likely special forces operatives of some sort.
How involved the new ragtag group of fighters will be within the new and final season has yet to be seen. However, t trailer may be viewed down below.
The final season of the show began airing on Friday, Feb. 21. However, the entirety of season seven was not released all at once. Rather, Disney has elected to release each episode individually.

The episode primarily focuses on the new entity of ragtag clones known as “The Bad Batch,” as well as returning character Captain Rex.
Alyssa Mercante of Gamesradar describes the season’s opening episode as “The first new episode in six years had a lot to do and delivered it all, giving us a clone-centric story that reminds us of The Clone Wars’ stakes.”
