Heather Rae Young is bringing back some painful memories.
The “Selling Sunset” star has always worn her heart on her sleeve and paid tribute to those who deserve it. So, it was no surprise when she did something special as the 21st anniversary of the life-altering 9/11 attacks rolled around on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
Heather Rae Young Vows Never To Forget The Victims Of The 9/11 Attacks
While relatives of victims, firefighters, police officers, and city leaders gathered at various locations, including the National September 11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan, to hear the names of those who died there read aloud, Heather did her bit by sharing a touching Instagram Story.
The Story included a tear-jerking transcribed voicemail that a victim, Brian, left for his partner, Jules, while terrorists took over the plane he was on. Brian said, “I just want you to know I absolutely love you I want you to do good, go have good times, same to my parents and everybody, and I just totally love you, and I’ll see you when you get there. Bye babe.”
Along with the heartbreaking words was Heather’s caption that read, “This breaks my heart every time l read it. Holding the ones I love extra close tonight and thinking about the ones we lost on this day. Will never forget,” accompanied by three red heart emojis.
While it is hard for us to know how her three million followers reacted to the Story, the remembrance ceremonies held that day were enough evidence that everybody was still nursing painful heartbreaks, sadness, and loss. According to Marca, thousands of United States citizens gathered at all three places where hijacked planes crashed on September 11, 2001 — the Pentagon, the World Trade Center, New York, and a Pennsylvania field.
Victims’ relatives and loved ones were joined by President Joe Biden at the Pentagon, Vice President Kamala Harris in New York, and first lady Jill Biden in Shanksville. The multitude that gathered at the Pentagon seemed undeterred by the rain as Biden walked to a wreath of flowers, placed his hand over his heart, and somberly said:
“I know for all those of you who lost someone, 21 years is both a lifetime and no time at all. The American story itself changed that day. What we cannot change, never will, is the character of this nation the attackers sought to wound. The character of sacrifice and love, of generosity and grace, of strength and resilience.”
You would recall that the attacks killed almost 3,000 people after Al-Qaeda hijacked a total of four planes that crashed into different locations. The events from that day spurred a U.S. “war on terror,” and it continues to affect American politics and public life.
The “Selling Sunset” Star Cannot Get Over Falling In Love With Her Man
Over the weekend, Heather sparked up her followers’ lives by informing them about her “forever man.” Per a recent The Blast report, the “Playmate Playback” actress uploaded a compilation video featuring compliments from her husband and father of her unborn child, Tarek El Moussa.
The reel showed the expectant mother doing things, including posing on a deck, sharing a kiss inside a bathroom, and dancing inside a living room. Throughout the clip, which came with the words “my husband’s commentary>>>>” written across it, El Moussa is heard praising his wife’s beauty in the background. The post came with a sweet caption in which the “Love in the Time of Monsters” actress began:
“Sometimes the best decisions that we make in life are people, not things. Get yourself a forever hype man and be with someone who makes you smile ear to ear.”
Heather added, “Someone who supports you, listens to you, and someone who you can’t wait to talk about your day with. Keep fighting for what you truly want in life.” The reel has accumulated well over 50k likes, getting people to watch it over a million times.
Besides fans gushing over the post’s sweetness, El Moussa appeared to be swept off his feet as he exclaimed, “Ugh, I love you!!!!” alongside a red heart emoji in the comments. Other commenters also used similar emojis, noting how much they wanted to find the type of love that El Moussa and his happy bride share.
