Lindsay Lohan Shares Spandex Workout Video Ahead Of Supernatural Movie Role

Lindsay Lohan is back in the gym – and quite possibly also back in the acting game. The "Mean Girls" actress did tease that she wanted to return to movies in her 2020 New Year's Resolution – 33-year-old Lindsay told Andy Cohen that her plans were to leave life in the Middle East behind, return to the U.S., and get back to doing what made her famous.

Lindsay is currently making fresh headlines for being in reported "final negotiations" to star alongside Mickey Rourke in supernatural thriller "Cursed."

Lindsay updated her Instagram on Sunday. Her video came straight from the gym, where the "Xanax" singer was seen engaging in a sweat session with a personal trainer. "The Masked Singer" Australia judge had opted to focus more on the activities than the body-flaunting, although she was looking trim and fit in a spandex pair of knee-length shorts, plus a matching black t-shirt.

The video showed Lindsay hooked up to a fitness machine. Her trainer was seen adjusting settings on it as Lindsay worked her lower half. Lindsay was also seen stretching out her legs and arms. She wore her long hair up in a bun and appeared makeup-free.

Lindsay's role is set to see her play a detective. Her Mary Branigan character will be teaming up with a psychiatrist (played by Mickey Rourke), with the two working to prevent an escaped psychiatric patient from murdering five people being held hostage in a remote house.

While Lohan has not 100% been confirmed for the role, enough media outlets reporting her successfully landing the gig may well see her return to the big screen. Filming is due to start this summer.

Lindsay has mostly been living out in the Middle East for the past few years. She continues to update her social media from the United Arab Emirates, but her words to Andy Cohen confirmed plans to kiss the desert settings goodbye.

"I’m managing my sister, so I want to really focus on me and everything that I can do in my life and come back to America and start filming again, which I’m doing something soon in this new year. And, you know, just taking back the life I’ve worked so hard for and sharing it with my family and you guys," she said.

Lindsay's 2019 was busy. The star dropped her "Xanax" track amid much anticipation, also flying out regularly to Australia to judge on the country's version of "The Masked Singer."

The end of 2019 also saw Lohan announce that she was newly single. She did not reveal the identity of her now-ex, although rumors that Lindsay was dating Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman were rife as it was reported that the prince had furnished her with a credit card.

Lindsay briefly made "boyfriend" headlines earlier this month, but she's yet to confirm an actual romance.
