Kate Beckinsale knocked her Instagram followers dead last night, taking to the platform with a sizzling bikini shot – of course, the 46-year-old's notorious humor was also provided.

Kate's age-defying body has already seen her likened to Benjamin Button. While the actress is in her late forties, her jaw-dropping gym body is up there with Hollywood's 20-something starlets. Last night's shot seemed living proof that the "Underworld" actress is, indeed, looking better than ever. Unsurprisingly, the post has been racking up all kinds of likes since going live.

Kate's photo showed it all. The star had been photographed full length and posing by a bathroom doorway, showing off her gym-honed body in a super-tiny and bandeau-style bikini. The purple two-piece featured a push-up bra effect, feminine string ties on both the bust and the briefs, and it was doing wonders for Kate's killer abs, toned thighs, and overall slender frame.

Kate posed almost hiding a part of herself behind the doorway, also wearing her long hair down in bombshell curls.

A caption mentioned the door as Kate wrote: "When a door closes, a window opens.or it should in a bathroom, if people have any manners at all."

The update definitely didn't go unnoticed, quickly clocking comments and likes. The latter sat at over 167,000 by the time the update was four hours old.

Fans couldn't get over Kate's killer physique.

"I gotta know what your trainer does for you as well as your nutritionist. You look gorgeous at your age and I’m 20 years younger and need some tips, stat!," one wrote.

"Legs for days ?," another said.

One fan simply dubbed the whole shot "illegal."

Kate's social media may showcase red carpet moments and her platonic relationship with BFF and Paramount executive Jonathan Voluck, but the account likewise shares the actress' grueling workouts. Kate trains with Gunnar Peterson – the celebrity trainer is known for having worked with Khloe Kardashian and Angelina Jolie.

Earlier this year, Kate wowed fans by hauling her entire upper body upwards while having her legs wrapped around a hanging punchbag. The core body workout video currently sits at over 1.4 million views.

Kate made headlines in December 2019 for fronting Women's Health. The feature came with a fitness-focused photo shoot, also seeing the actress reveal what she does (and doesn't) eat.

Kate gets her protein from chicken or eggs, also adding grass-fed butter. The star is also a fan of salads and salmon, but she did state that she consumes no stimulants. That's a no to alcohol or caffeine.

"If I ate too much dark chocolate, it would be like someone else taking cocaine," she told the magazine.
