Although Prince William and Kate Middleton are yet to comment about the Megxit, they are the most likely to feel its effect, being the closest people who can take some of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s roles, and 2020 will probably be one of their busiest years.

The couple is already up to the 2020 tasks, with the BAFTA Awards and the Bradford trip being among their first engagements of the year. The BAFTAs subjected them to a few awkward moments, following the commentary made around Harry.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure left a void that is yet to be filled by Queen Elizabeth II. A lot of speculation has been made, suggesting that Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will probably step up to take the roles of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

However, reports indicate that there is a probability the two may not join the senior royal family members. Going by what Sahiwal TV reported, only Prince William and his wife can hold the royal household robustly.

It is not clear how the senior members of the royal family divided the 2019 engagements, although Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth did the most. Prince Charles beat them all, attending 521 events, while the Queen followed with 295 functions despite her old age.

Although Prince William and Kate did not top in their activity, they notably did better than Meghan and Harry. Prince William attended 220 events, while Kate did 126. Harry and Meghan were the least active, with the Prince doing 201, and his wife 80. She was however, on maternity leave for part of the year.

March 2020 will mark the first time for the royal couple to make an official trip to the Republic of Ireland. They had in the past visited Northern Ireland, but are set to make stops at Cork and Dublin on their March trip.

Based on the rumors circulating, they will later over the spring move to Australia. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will pay visits to the people affected by the recent fires in the country, as well as the locations.

The last few days have not been the best for Queen Elizabeth, although she seems to be getting some relief following the dedication that Prince William and Kate are showing in portraying a positive image of the palace.

She has spent a lot of years building the legacy that was seemingly almost succumbing following Prince Andrew’s scandal and the Megxit. However, she feels confident that with William, the legacy is in good hands. 2020 is going to be one of the busiest years for Prince William and Kate as the world watches the royal family moves.
