Jennifer Hudson caught everyone's attention as a finalist on the third season of the singing competition, American Idol. She is also known as the character Effie White in the movie "Dreamgirl."

The 40-year-old star has since become well recognized in Hollywood and is no stranger to breaking records and being the best in the music, film, and reality TV industry. She will soon complete another trip around the sun, so she recently took to social media to share the special news with her followers.

The "Sex and the City" co-star made a statement as she gave a glimpse of her award set to her fans while counting down to her birthday. The Instagram post featured the star sitting at a table with her elbow placed on it, dressed in a purple dress with a cap with the number seventeen written on it. 

The following slide showed the assortment of awards arranged on the top of her grand piano with her standing next to it in a coat and a red dress smiling widely at the camera. Her caption read:

"Counting down til my birthday ! In a few days, I will be 41, but then again, I will always be 17!!" ending with the hashtags "EGOT" and "17."[sic]

J.Hud — as she is popularly called — recently joined the ranks of exemplary artists who have reached great heights in their careers in different fields in the entertainment industry by receiving a collection of awards earning them the moniker EGOT. 

Alongside the multiple nicknames she has gotten throughout her career, the most recent is one she gave herself, "17." As reported by PEOPLE, the singer shared in the preview of her interview with Gayle King the meaning behind her new nickname.

The "Winnie Mandela" star explained that the nickname represents being the only seventeenth person to reach EGOT status by winning an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony Award. While referring to the number as her lucky charm, she recalled her surprise as she walked to the stage to receive the Tony award; the crowd began to chant "EGOT!" bringing to attention the importance of her victory.

Hudson recalled that at the time, she was just excited for her cast as they won the award for the musical "A Strange Loop," which she produced. Although it has been a couple of months since the honor was bestowed, she admitted to still coming to terms with being the youngest woman to earn the prestigious title.

The "American Idol" alum certainly deserves some added respect to her name, as evidenced by the singer's list of accolades. The Blast reported that the multiple award winner recently got elevated to the rank of "EGOT." 

While Jennifer is the youngest and second black female to receive all four awards, other notable mentions are Richard Rodgers, Helen Hayes, John Gielgud, Rita Moreno, and Audrey Hepburn, amongst others. The "Cats" star took to her Instagram page to give a full glimpse of the collection which includes two Grammy, one Emmy, one Oscar, the most recent being a Tony award which just arrived.

In the picture, she stood proudly beside her piano with the collection arranged on the surface while she struck a pose dressed in a purple long-sleeved dress holding her Tony and smiling at the camera. The multi-hyphenated singer penned "Look what arrived yal !!!" indicating the award she was holding while tagging "the tony awards" and the musical for which she won, "strangeloopbway."

As expected, fans and colleagues of the talented 40-year-old took to the comment section to congratulate her, expressing their pride and happiness for the admirable feat. One comment mentioned how fit she looked and attributed it to getting ready for her upcoming talk show.

The former "The Voice" coach is set to debut her talk show "The Jennifer Hudson Show" this September. Despite not having ample experience in hosting, this is not stopping her from heading into this new venture. She hopes to bring the best to her fans and audience, as she announced via Twitter.

The message read, "I can't believe I get to say this but welcome to my show !!! Let's light up the daytime beginning September 12! Wait a minute, that's my birthday !!!" She expressed the need for her fans to have a good time and feel energized before leaving her show.
