Popstar John Legend will support 2020 Democratic candidate Elizabeth Warren, according to Deadline.
Legend anounced their endorsement of Warren in October of last year following Teigen’s open feud with incumbent President Donald Trump, and Legend is expected to campaign for Warren at her events next week.
41-year-old Legend told Vanity Fair during an interview after his announcement of support that he believed Warren was “the best candidate running today and she comes at it with joy and with sincerity and with a wealth of knowledge and experience.”
Legend isn’t alone in his support of the candidate; despite finishing third and fourth respectively in the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries, her allies include Ashley Judd, Jonathan Van Ness, Scarlett Johansson and Rosie O’Donnell.
She has also been able to sway the support Roxane Gay, Martin Sheen, Megan Rapinoe and Melissa Etheridge, according to Deadline.
Those, and all of Warren’s supporters, believe that her performance in Wednesday night in Las Vegas, could help her in Saturday’s Nevada caucuses, according to CNN.
The Grammy award-winning singer has sparked conversations about politics on multiple occasions:
“Raise your hand if you LOVE your health insurance plan,” Legend tweeted just days ago. “I hear politicians say ‘don’t take away these insurance plans that millions of people love’ and I’m like who LOVES their health insurance plan? Genuinely curious.”
However, the singer has also gone so far as to call out Trump saying that he is “sad, and petty, and narcissistic and immature,” according to The Hill.

Legend endorsed Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, and even performed at campaign events.
“Honestly, I don’t comprehend why guys hate women so much sometimes,” Legend told the Vanity Fair in his earlier interview, seeming to insinuate that women don’t receive support from many Americans due to gender.
“You see someone as transparently competent and eloquent and on fire as Elizabeth Warren and then you hear some guys just are not into voting for a woman. Why do guys feel so threatened by the idea of a woman president?”
Democratic candidates across the field have also drawn celebrity support, pulling star power in advance of the Nevada vote.
Michael J. Fox came to a Las Vegas rally in support of Pete Buttigieg and Bernie Sanders’ campaign brought in his own batch of Hollywood regulars such as Michael Moore and Susan Sarandon in New Hampshire and Iowa, according to Deadline.
Tim Robbins is expected to campaign for Sanders in the state of Washington this weekend, whose primary is coming up fast on March 10.
