The religious nature of the Duggar family has been a hot topic for a long time. In fact, it is the family’s strict religion that many people speculate led to a lot of family secrets, including molestation and marital affairs.
A lot of Counting On fans were happy to see Jinger Duggar escape the family when she married former soccer player Jeremy Vuolo. Recent news makes many fans wonder if she did, in fact, escape. Is something even weirder going on?
Jeremy has publicly stated that he is regularly tempted by other women. Well, that’s nothing new. Most people experience attraction to men and women they are not married to. It’s simply something most of us do not talk about.
Now, at least Jeremy is not signing up on dating websites so that he can cheat on his wife (ahem, Josh Duggar), but ti does seem as if this situation has created some tension. That is especially the case because it seems as if Jeremy tells his wife when he experiences this temptation.
It would appear that when Jeremy talks to his wife about those times he feels tempted, he asks her to pray for him. This revelation led fans down a deep trail of questions.
What exactly is Jinger praying for? Is she praying that Jeremy has the strength not to give into his desires? Is she praying that the desires go away? Do they see these temptations as normal? And then, we have to wonder what constitutes a temptation. Seeing somebody attractive? There are too many questions.
Fans have also been surprised to learn that Jeremy does not have social media on his phone. If he wants to use social media, he has to access the apps via Jinger’s phone. Jinger also has Jeremy’s passwords and usernames so that she can see exactly what he is up to when he does log in.
This also makes fans wonder if the couple (and the Duggar family in general) believe that women do not experience temptation like men do. It definitely gives us insight into the family and relationship dynamics involved.
Other members of the Duggar family seem to believe the same thing. For instance, Jill and Derick Dillard have discussed using software that holds them accountable for their social media activity and online behavior.
Duggar men, in general, seem to shy away from social media. Josiah Duggar takes the backseat while his wife, Lauren, takes the reigns on a shared account. And of course, Josh Duggar is not likely to have social media in the future based on his past indiscretions.
