Dayna Kathan Shares Thoughts On 'Vanderpump Rules' Cast, Admits She's 'Emotionally Sl*tty'

Dayna Kathan was a fan of Vanderpump Rules before joining the show. So, what did she think of her co-stars before she met them at SUR Restaurant and TomTom during filming on season eight?

During an interview on Jenny McCarthy's SiriusXM Radio show earlier this week, Kathan opened up about her feelings towards her co-stars' on-camera personas, revealing which of her cast mates she was attracted to upon first-glance.

"I always thought Ariana Madix kept it real and was really cool. I always thought Lala was a bad b***h and I was like, 'That's right up my alley.' And I would say, I'd always admired Katie's strong will," Dayna said on The Jenny McCarthy Show.

"I didn't necessarily watch the show and think I'd be a good friend with Scheana," Kathan admitted. "She was more-so accurately depicted I think of what I had thought of her originally."

According to Kathan, she and Shay didn't hit it off initially and that was no fault of hers. Instead, it was Shay who didn't give her much of a chance after learning she was dating the controversial Max Boyens, who Shay previously had a fling with.

"Scheana and I, obviously, people who have watched the show have seen, did not get off on the right foot and that was very much coming for her," Kathan stated.

Following their initial beef, Kathan and Shay got to a better place with one another. However, according to Kathan's chat with McCarthy, their reconciliation was short-lived.

"But then I think she really has tried hard to make it right and we did have a close friendship and then some other things happened," Kathan teased.

That said, Kathan does like Shay more now than she did when they first met months ago

"That's just more my feedback of before I met them," Kathan explained.

Although joining a reality show can be intimidating, Kathan said she didn't hesitate to go all-in.

"In my life, like, I always say I’m really emotionally sl*tty," she shared. "I will always tell anyone about my trauma and what’s been going on in my life. So, I am an open book. But even now, watching episodes back, I’m like, ‘Oh my God,’ thinking about parents and people I know like watching back talking about my sex life and other things, like, yeah, that’s tough.

While Kathan has handled herself quite nicely, at least so far, she admitted to McCarthy that she had no idea what she was getting into when she joined Vanderpump Rules.

"I feel like especially coming in this really established, great show where all these people have organic, authentic relationships… like trying to walk into that was definitely tough. So, I definitely knew I’d be thrown in but I don’t think I was prepared for how much I’d be thrown in," she explained.
