Welcome to “Jeopardy!” In Review! This week, we will be revisiting the episodes from September 12 through September 16 as season 39 gets underway.

"Jeopardy!" is being hosted by Ken Jennings until the end of the calendar year, at which point "The Big Bang Theory" alum Mayim Bialik will take over hosting duties until further notice.

So, without further ado, let’s get started!

Monday, September 12 – Luigi Returns

On Monday, Luigi, an attorney, returned to defend his one-day total of $23,401 dollars against Katherine, a financial institution risk manager, and Tim, a paperboy.

The first round featured the categories: HERE COMES 39 // WORLD CAPITAL RHYME TIME // ALL KINDS OF DOORS // WRITERS & THEIR WORKS // CHUMP CHANGE // RALPH MACCHIO TALKS COBRA KAI

After the first round, Luigi had $14,000, Tim had $2,000, and Katherine had $2,200.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: ON THE ROAD AGAIN // 11-LETTER WORDS // DISCOVERIES // CANADIAN HISTORY // FINANCE & INVESTING // THAT'S SO SIR/REEL

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Luigi had $38,400 dollars. Tim only had $5,200 dollars and Katherine only had $1,400, starting season 39 out with a clear runaway game.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "19th CENTURY NOVELS." The clue read: "'This bell was named Marie…alone in the southern tower, with her sister Jacqueline, a bell of lesser size,' says this novel."

Luigi and Tim provided a correct answer of "What is 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'?" Luigi added $4,000 dollars to win $42,000 dollars for a new two-day total of $65,801 dollars.

Tuesday, September 13 - Luigi Returns

On Tuesday, Luigi, an attorney, returned to defend his two-day total of $65,801 dollars against Justin, a software engineer, and April, a digital production artist.

The first round featured the categories: 1960s AMERICA // ALPHABETICALLY NEXT // BROADCASTING HISTORY// GOING ON A POWER TRIP // NEW TO THE OED // NFL OPENING WEEKEND

At the end of the first round, Luigi had $5,200, April had $1,200, and Justin had $8,200.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: DO YOU FEEL A FIRST DRAFT? // SYNONYMS // A CHEM/PHYSICS/BIO SAMPLER // FULL OF HOLES // EUROPEAN PLACES // 20th CENTURY SONG, 21st CENTURY AD

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, April had $16,600 dollars, narrowly beating out Luigi's $15,700 dollars. It was still a close game, with Justin coming in third with $11,000 dollars.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "THE BRITISH ROYAL FAMILY." The clue read: "Prince Philip’s titles included Baron Greenwich & Duke of Edinburgh, but not Prince Consort, last used by this royal."

Both April and Luigi were able to come up with a correct answer of "Who was Prince Albert?" April only bet a conservative wager of $1,801, letting Luigi's big $15,699 wager propel him to $31,399 dollars and a new three-day total of $97,200 dollars.

Wednesday, September 14 - Luigi Returns

On Wednesday, Luigi, an attorney, returned to defend his three-day total of $97,200 dollars against Harriet, a retired lawyer, and Winston, a clinical assistant professor.

The first round featured the categories: HISTORIC WORDS // MUSIC // DOG NAMES // BUILDINGS // THE BORN IDENTITY // "CON"s

At the end of the first round, Luigi had $6,200, Winston had $3,400, and Harriet had $3,400.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: ENDS WITH 2 VOWELS // AFRICA // PRIMING THE PUMP// LITERARY CHARACTERS // THE LAW // CONS

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Luigi had another runaway with $17,800 dollars. Harriet and Winston both had $8,600 dollars.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "ARTISTS ." The clue read: "He said, 'The Seine! I have painted it all my life, at all hours, in all seasons, from Paris to the sea.'"

Everyone was able to come up with a correct answer of "Who was Monet?" Luigi added $200 dollars to win $18,000 dollars for a four-day total of $115,200 dollars.

Thursday, September 15 -  Luigi Returns

On Thursday, Luigi, an attorney, returned to defend his four-day total of $115,200 dollars against Gilad, a recent college graduate, and Annabel, a contract manager.

The first round featured the categories: LETTER-PERFECT BOOKS // PARTY! // TV TITLE ADJECTIVES // FROM THE SPANISH // CLEANUP // ISLE, 5

After the first round, Luigi had $4,600, Annabel had $5,200, and Gilad had $3,200.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: A LITTLE HISTORY // SCIENCE PROJECTS // GO GET "EM" // PHILOSOPHY // SINGERS WHO ACT // HISPANIC HERITAGE HERE

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Luigi had scored another runaway at $32,500 while Annabel had $12,400 and Gilad had $6,400 dollars.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "U.S. COLLEGES & UNIVERSITIES." The clue read: "Founded as a technical institute in 1900, its sports teams are the Tartans & its official mascot is a Scottish terrier."

No one was able to come up with a correct answer of "What is Carnegie Mellon University?" Luigi lost $7,000 dollars to win $25,500 dollars for a five-day total of $140,700 dollars.

Friday, September 16 - Luigi Returns

On Friday, Luigi, an attorney, returned to defend his five-day total of $140,700 dollars against Emmett, a freelance writer, and Melissa, a homemaker.

The first round featured the categories: HERSTORY // TEXTING ABBREV. // 2022 GEOGRA-FEE // FREDS UP // MAGAZINE COVERS // HELP ME MOVE MY STUFF?

At the end of the first round, Luigi had $3,200, Melissa had $400, and Emmett had $8,200.

The Double Jeopardy! round featured the categories: BRITISH LITERATURE // MAGNETS! // THINK FAST // TELEVISION // EXPLORERS // BEYOND THE PALE

Going into the Final Jeopardy! round, Luigi had $18,000 dollars, Emmett had $15,800 dollars, and Melissa had $2,800 dollars.

The Final Jeopardy! category was "DISNEY SONGS." The clue read: "'We Don’t Talk About Bruno' from Encanto is the first song from an animated Disney film to hit No. 1 since this duet in 1993."

Both Luigi and Emmett were able to come up with a correct answer of "What is 'A Whole New World'?" Luigi only wagered $1,551 dollars, allowing Emmett to take the win after betting $10,000 dollars and creating a new one-day total of $25,800 dollars.

But will that win streak continue on Monday? Fans will just have to tune in to find out!
