Many are concerned about Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday morning, as she is reportedly under medical supervision at her Balmoral home.
A statement shared by Buckingham Palace on Thursday morning read, “Following further evaluation this morning, The Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision.”
They added, “The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”
Princes Charles Is Currently With Queen Elizabeth II During Medical Supervision
According to Deadline, Queen Elizabeth II’s immediate family members have been notified and Prince Charles is reported at her side at Balmoral. At this time, it seems that her grandson, Prince William, is currently on his way to see her. It is unclear if Prince Harry will also head to Balmoral given the recent tension between them.
The news broke on Thursday morning just as new Prime Minister Liz Truss was making a speech to discuss the energy crisis currently underway in Parliament. During her speech, Labour Leader Keir Starmer and Truss were passed a note regarding the Queen’s failing health.
The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime.
My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.

“The whole country will be deeply concerned by the news from Buckingham Palace this lunchtime,” Truss tweeted out shortly after. “My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time.”
Along with the rest of the country, I am deeply worried by the news from Buckingham Palace this afternoon.
My thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time, and I join everyone across the United Kingdom in hoping for her recovery.

“Along with the rest of the country, I am deeply worried by the news from Buckingham Palace this afternoon,” Starmer tweeted. “My thoughts are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time, and I join everyone across the United Kingdom in hoping for her recovery.”
This Is Not The First Time That The Queen Has Had A Health Scare In Recent Months
Earlier this year, it was erroneously reported that the 96-year-old monarch had passed away, leading to speculation about her failing health. A diagnosis of COVID-19 led to even further concerns, although she reportedly made a full recovery.
In recent months, she missed some of her Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in order to focus on her health and recovery. On Wednesday, she canceled a virtual engagement with the Privy Council and was reportedly told by doctors that she should be “resting.”
In a break from tradition, she recently met with outgoing Prime Minister Boris Johnson and welcomed Truss and Balmoral, rather than Buckingham Palace, leading to further concerns about her health.

As Deadline reported, BBC One cut into its regular daytime schedule and is currently running a live news broadcast regarding the Queen’s health.
UK media journalist Scott Bryan posted a brief clip of how the news unfolded early on the morning of September 8, which shows BBC’s flagship channel cutting from its episode of “Bargain Hunt” to cover the breaking story.
Clarence House announced that both Prince Charles and his wife Camila have traveled to Balmoral to be by the Queen’s side while Prince William is currently en route.
Queen Elizabeth II was born in 1926 and became Queen in 1953. Her husband, Prince Philip, passed away last year, at the age of 99.
