Fans Come For Serayah McNeill Over Transphobic Comment About Gabrielle Union’s Child Zaya

Severally, many celebrities have shared unwanted comments about Zaya, who happens to be the daughter of Dwayne Wade and Gabrielle Union. This has made the headlines a lot of times and fans have often expressed their disdain with these comments or supposed mistakes made by celebrities. Recently, Serayah McNeill, one of the star actresses of the ongoing series titled Empire made an unwanted about Zaya and the internet could not take it anymore. The singer and actress has had fans in her business for days since the remark.

The actress may not have saw it coming but she is on the receiving end of total backlash from fans and non-fans. Zaya Wade, recently revealed to the world that she is a transgender and her parents are very supportive of her decision. However, there are some celebrities who have a problem with it.

McNeill posted a video on Instagram, sharing her thoughts on Zaya’s decision and how her parents are taking it lightly without any instructions. According to her, parents ought to ask their children more serious questions.

She also went on to say that Zaya was only going through a phase and her parents should wait till she’s older before she makes life decisions. McNeill said that it is fine if they support Zaya in her decision, but there are other concerns for the twelve year old and she should be focused on that. She then said that children changing their sexuality whenever they want to, should not be the ‘it’ thing now, as there are other things they can be focused on.

Finally, McNeill weighed in on the issue, saying that Zaya should be given time to grow older, befor she decides to change her sexuality completely.

“Let’s not jump to a life-changing decision that can never be undone.” McNeill said.

After hearing what McNeill had to say, fans came at her in many ways, concluding that her statements were transphobic and homophobic. They also mentioned that the actress confused sexuality with gender, which was not proper.

Other fans who came at her said that she could not see farther because she did not have a child.

“Says the person with not one child. You don’t know what you would do if you child came to you with this issue. And nobody asked for her opinion.” A non-fan said in her comment section.

Several other celebrities have made comments about Zaya and her sexuality and fans have not relented in dishing out backlashes to set them straight. There you have it guys, the world support Zaya and her parents in her decision.
