Makayla Phillips, who you will see audition for "American Idol" this season is already a force to be reckoned with.

Her episode has yet to air, but she posted on her Instagram back in November that she auditioned for the show.

You may not recognize her because she is all grown-up but Phillips first auditioned for "America's Got Talent" during season 13. She received the golden buzzer from Heidi Klum and is now going to be back on your TVs for 'Idol.'

Phillips auditioned for 'AGT' for the 2018-2019 season and was 15 years old at the time. She captivated the judges and audience with a powerful performance of Demi Lovato's "Warrior."

Moving along to the quarter and semi-finals, she received a standing ovation from Klum and Mel B. However, after she performed "Who U Are" by Jessie J in the semi-finals, she was eliminated from the competition.

The Golden Buzzer and "AGT" changed her life and she didn't stop after getting eliminated.

Since "AGT," Phillips' career has taken off. She already has over 100,000 followers on Instagram and over 43,000 subscribers on Youtube, where she posts her own music videos and videos of herself singing.

Last Year, she released a few singles. With Dallin McKay, she released "Forming Great." Her next single, "Love Me Blind," has its own music video as well as "Might U," which appeared on the My Hero Academia movie soundtrack, which is a Japanese superhero manga series. Recently, she released a song called "Need Me" with Shawn Moyer.

It's no wonder Phillips is as talented as she is at such a young age. She has been performing and singing since she was a little girl and even signed with Dream Talent in 2013. Phillips won a scholarship to the Hollywood Launch program, where many young and successful artists go to get training, including Ross Lynch, Taylor Lautner, Corbin Bleu, and many more. And the talent runs in the family. Her great grandfather had an album on the Billboard 100 Charts in 1954.

Apart from having a successful singing career, Phillips has also starred in some TV roles. According to IMDB, she has starred in The Birthday Boys, My Crazy Ex, and Occam's Razor. And pretty soon, she will have American Idol to add to her resume.

Phillips is a triple threat- acting, singing, and beauty- and is very successful at only 17 years old. She is also best friends with the reigning "AGT" champ, Kodi Lee. They have even sang together a few times.
