Kim Kardashian speaks her mind about global warming amid being recently accused, among others, of killing the earth with her extravagant lifestyle.
Gracing the cover of Interview Magazine, Kim had a chat with the outlet's editor-in-chief Mel Ottenberg, during which she stressed her belief in climate change and shed light on her successful career.

After discussing the SKIMS founder's interesting lifestyle and active involvement with the law, Ottenberg wanted to know if she had also done anything to "combat and prevent: global warming. He called the situation "actually insane" and named a few environmental changes occurring worldwide, including fires in the south of France and melting tarmacs in England.
The interviewer believed he did not do that much but was curious to hear his guest's thoughts. This led to Kim responding, "I believe in climate change, and I believe that anything can help." She continued, "But I also believe in being realistic, and I think sometimes there's so much to worry about on this planet, and it can be really scary to live your life with anxiety."
As someone with friends very involved in climate change, she loved learning from them and did what she could, choosing what worked for her in her life. She also advised others to do the same. The editor-in-chief agreed, prompting the gorgeous socialite to maintain that no one was going to be "100 percent perfect."
Diverting to talk of fashion, Ottenberg noted that it was great to watch Kim make a turnaround from the "girl they didn't want in fashion to the woman they need in fashion." He also acknowledged her win at the Met Gala, two years consecutively which she attributed to her love for wearing outfits she fancied which were "attainable" to non-celebs.
The 41-year-old media personality may be super renowned in society with laudable endeavors, but she was among the accused who violated water restrictions in Los Angeles. The Blast noted that almost 97% of the region was affected by extreme drought, with California experiencing its fourth driest year in the last 128 years.
Even with the dire situation, the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District disclosed that thousands of customers went against their state-wide restrictions by exceeding 150% of their monthly water budgets. The misconduct reportedly happened about four times since the new water limitations were issued in 2021 to combat the ongoing drought in the state.
Back in May and June, the Las Virgenes committee released "notices of exceedance" to the offenders, and among the thousand recipients were reputable icons, including Kim. The list included her sister Kourtney Kardashian, comedian Kevin Hart, movie legend Sylvester Stallone, and ex-NBA player Dwayne Wade.
The Kardashians were reported to have exceeded water usage in June after Las Virgenes' series of extreme "stage 3" control. While the regulation prevented L.A. residents from watering their outdoor areas more than once a week, Kim and Kourtney were not so abiding and received multiple water notices.
The younger Kardashian was sent several warnings for two properties under her name, while her Hidden Hills home was noted to have gone beyond its water budget by "232,000 gallons" that same month. The following month, her older sister was dragged for something similar as her luxurious Calabasas home exceeded its water restriction by "245%," almost half of Hart's "519%" overdone usage.
Kylie Jenner Faces Major Backlash For Wrecking Climate After 17-Minute Private Jet Flight
Kim and Kourtney were not the only ones in their family to get slammed for not being ecologically aware, as their half-sister Kylie Jenner was also criticized in July for doing more damage to the earth. According to Page Six, the 24-year-old was reported to have had a short flight with her private jet from Camarillo to Van Nuys in California, with the trip taking about seventeen minutes compared to a 45-minute drive.
A few days after the flight, she shared a monochrome snap of her and Travis Scott, her boyfriend, posing in front of their private jets. Her bold caption read, "you wanna take mine or yours?" The update, in addition to her past quick flight, caused an onslaught from social media users who accused her of being "a full-time climate criminal."
Many believed she was a hypocrite who posted "environmental awareness" images but was singlehandedly being more destructive to the environment than her fellow men.
