Phil Harvey Spector was born in The Bronx, New York City, U.S.A on December 26, 1939. He is known as a prominent American record producer, musician and songwriter who was later found guilty by a court and sentenced to 19 to life in prison.
Before going down the drain, Spector was a man of the people. He was the brain behind the “Wall of Sound,” a production formula used to aid in rock and roll songs. In other words, Spector was an influential producer in the music industry.
Spector kicked off his career in 1958 when he co-founded a band called the “Teddy Bears.” He was also the vocalist and guitarist for the band at the time. The band produced a debut single titled “To Know Him Is To Love Him.”
In 1960, at age 21, Spector co-founded a record company called “Phillies Records,” and this made him the youngest label owner in the Us at the time.

Consequently, in 1997, Spector was again inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and this sealed the deal for the musician.
He was respected in the music industry mainly for his talent and diversity, but that did not last long as the musician faced legal problems.
On February 3, 2003, the authorities found the lifeless body of Lana Jean Clarkson in Spector’s home as she took a gunshot to the head. According to reports, Spector’s driver took Clarkson and Spector home and about an hour later, he heard a gunshot. He later saw Spector run out of the back door with a gun in his hand, murmuring some words about shooting the actress.
In 2007, Spector faced trial for second-degree murder and was sentenced to 19 years to life in prison and can only get parol in 2025.
