Peter Weber definitely doesn’t have it easy on this season of The Bachelor. He’s had to face dramatic situations left and right, especially with Victoria F. still around.
However, next weeks drama seems to come from Madison Prewett, the fan-favorite from the very beginning.
At the end of this week’s episode, after receiving her rose, Madison pulls Peter aside to talk to him about her feelings toward Fantasy Suites.
We don’t get to actually see the conversation this week, but the previews give a lot of it away.
In the preview we see Madison talking about her feelings about sex and how she wants to wait until marriage. Earlier in the show she’s talked about how she’s a virgin, but hasn’t had the chance to tell Peter.
The preview also features her telling Peter that she won’t be able to move forward if Peter sleeps with the other contestants.
It’s then revealed that Peter in fact has slept with another contestant just six days earlier. For the rest of the episode, Madison unwinds.
On the last season of The Bachelorette, Luke Parker and Hannah Brown had kind of a rocky relationship. At the end of the series, their relationship ended when he threatened to walk away if she had sex with anyone else during Fantasy Suites week.
He even questioned if she had slept with anyone else and said the, “marriage bed should be kept pure.”
Brown then said, “I believe that sex was made for a man and a women in a marriage. But I am having physical relationships. And honestly like, I have had sex, and Jesus still loves me. How dare I be judged by a man?”
When Victoria F. finds out about Madison’s ultimatum she throws yet another tantrum and says, “She gave him an ultimatum and I’m sorry but that’s disgusting. Putting him in that position is so unfair. Are you kidding me?”
Fans had a similar reaction, believing that there’s a double standard between men and women. When Luke P. gave Hannah B. the same ultimatum, everyone thought he was gross and out of place, but Madison becomes a saint who cares about her body when she does it.
The fans, in this case, are right. It’s not fair to treat these two situations differently. But, it’s also not right to judge someone for not wanting to sleep with someone who’s also sleeping with three other people.
However, if they had these feelings, they maybe should have realized that The Bachelor isn’t the show for them.
Either way, it looks like Madison is going to completely unwind this week. We can’t wait to see what happens during Fantasy Suites next week on The Bachelor.
