The Famous TikTok 'Pool Filter Pup' Has Sadly, And Quite Suddenly, Passed Away

TikToker Melissa has captured more than 2 million followers with her adorable Jack Russell pup BabyGirl. And now just months after her first post in June, she had to let all BabyGirl's fans know she has passed away. In a heart wrenching video, she shows her cradling her baby while saying goodbye. There can't be a dry eye in the house watching the sadness unfold. The bottom of the video reads, "BabyGirl, March 26, 2014, August 29, 2022" and Christina Perri's version of "You Are My Sunshine" is heard playing.

Melissa added a comment to the post that explains what happened. "We are heartbroken. BabyGirl had an inoperable obstruction in her lower intestines. I won’t be commenting for a while, but I wanted you all to know." She also added another comment, "We love all of you. Thank you for loving her. ?" More than 33,000 comments of condolence, sadness and support poured in so far.

Melissa has posted two videos since the heartbreaking announcement. The first one showed a beautiful floral arrangement in the pool filter and a loving tribute to the pup who loved getting in and out of the pool through the filter. The video also featured a message to all her followers, "Thank you for loving the BabyGirl."

The next video posted opens with BabyGirl showing her mama some love and then a clip of the adorable pup doing what she loved to do - swim in the pool with her toys.

Most of the TikTok videos show BabyGirl enjoying the pool. But there are a few videos that show another side to the sweet pup. She also liked shopping at Target, getting her nails painted, beach trips, watching TV and napping.

In one video, she was reunited with her sons. "Yes her baby daddy was a chihuahua ?," Melissa responded when asked about the pups' mix. "They are JackChis!" she said in another comment.

Since the pup's passing, Melissa has changed the bio on her TikTok page to, "Spreading joy through a tiny dog who now has wings." With comments on her videos such as "Seeing her on my fyp always brought a smile to my face ? I’m so sorry for your loss, she will be missed by all ???," "she deserves the world. that little girl is such a cute baby. fly high angel ?️," and "I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s so heartbreaking I loved watching your princess just live her best life. She was just a joy to watch," as well as many others, the TikTok community is certainly mourning the huge loss of this tiny dog who brought smiles to so many people's faces.
