“Real Housewives of Atlanta Star” Kenya Moore is no stranger to backlash.
The former beauty queen joined the reality show in 2012 and has been at odds with several of the castmates ever since.
But even with the never-ending drama surrounding her, the 49-year-old doesn’t know why she’s always portrayed as the villain.
“Why do they never give me a pass?” she asked during an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
“They give it to everyone else, but they never give me a pass, and they always make me look bad, or make me look like a villain, and my heart is always in the right place.”
Maybe she means well, but Marc Daly’s wife, can’t ignore the messy things she’s done in the past.
Her most recent feud was with newcomer, Tanya Sam, who’s husband/fiance was caught flirting with the “cookie lady.” (Yes, they actually call her the “cookie lady.”)
During a lunch date, Kenya brought the “cookie lady” to confront Tanya. This was after Tanya showed the ladies a wig Kenya reportedly wore during vacation; which Kenya took offense to.
Sure, that wasn’t nice of Tanya. But Kenya was wrong, too.
Over the years, Moore and fellow castmate, Cynthia Bailey, have become close. The two constantly advertise their friendship on the show.
But that didn’t stop Moore from acting shady towards her bestie.
Bailey, who’s been in a relationship with Fox Sports correspondent, Mike Hill, since 2018, questioned whether Moore tried to sabotage her engagement.
Moore, who knew Hill was popping the question, told the former runway model minutes before the proposal.
Luckily, Bailey didn’t believe her. But after the proposal, she questioned Moore’s intentions.
Kandi Burruss also had a problem with Moore’s actions.
Of course, we couldn’t forget the ongoing feud between Kenya Moore and NeNe Leakes.
These two were never interested in the other. But their feud really heated up after Bailey and Moore’s relationship started.
Their friendship always bothered the former “Celebrity Apprentice” judge, who avoided Mrs. Daly whenever possible.
At the end of Season 11, Moore made an appearance at one of Cynthia Bailey’s events. Bailey, who wanted to keep the peace, didn’t give Leakes a heads up, which is what started their feud.
Since then, Mr. Hill’s fiance and Leakes have put the past behind them. According to People, they’re working on their issues and moving forward with peace.
So while Moore might not see herself as the villain, it’s not surprising other people do. She’s outspoken and easily rubs her castmates the wrong way.
But maybe her rollercoaster relationship with her husband plays a role.
The two announced they were filing for divorce in 2019, but it looks like they may be back together.
In an interview with Andy Cohen, Moore said, “We’re trying to figure it out now.”
Maybe a better relationship is exactly what Moore needs to stop throwing shade at her castmates.
