Katie Holmes wowed Instagram on Sunday. The 41-year-old actress and ex to Tom Cruise was in her element as she unleashed some moves on the beach – the “Dawson’s Creek” actress absolutely nailed her handstand, and she was doing it in a bikini.
Katie tends not to fill her social media with skimpy swimwear snaps. The star who is mostly photographed bundled-up on the streets of NYC has gone a little racy of late with a bombshell look in a sheer bodysuit, but the February 5 snap accompanying the star’s Flaunt feature was breaking the mold.
It looks like that mold has been broken twice.
Katie’s photo showed her solo and on sandy beach shores. The brunette had been photographed delivering a handstand, skillfully using her palms to support her entire body weight as her toned legs sat up in the air.
Katie had gone low-frills with the feel, opting out of a professional photographer, but the appeal was all there. The mom of one was looking incredible in a mismatched bikini, showing off her fit frame in a blue top paired with red briefs.
A caption kept things simple.
“Good vibes,” Katie wrote with a red heart emoji.
This post definitely didn’t get ignored. Comments and likes came in fast, with the latter sitting at over 72,000 by the time the update was 22 hours old.
“Meanwhile, I’m 31 and tore my calf muscle this week while going out for a jog ?,” a fan jokingly replied.
“I wish I could even attempt this ?,” another added.
Meanwhile, a popular reply called for a “Dawson Creek” reboot.
“We need a Dawson’s creek reunion!!!” the fan wrote.
Katie starred in the much-loved TV series from 1998-2003.
Katie has two movies coming out next year: “The Secret: Dare To Dream” and “Brahms: The Boy II.” Fans can expect some directing action from the brunette.
“Behind the camera is more fulfilling. You get to see other actors’ processes, or how they shift in different takes,” Katie told Flaunt recently.
“You get to collaborate in that way with them. Visually, it’s really exciting to work on something long enough where you can earn that long shot of a person walking down the street, and see it’s just as emotionally powerful as a close-up, if not more. And I think that’s the goal—where you can use, visually, certain things that express the story and the emotion in a way that maybe you haven’t seen before, or we all haven’t seen before,” she added.
Katie was definitely looking fit in her snap. 2019 saw the star open up to Shape on her fitness philosophies.
“I exercise four times a week. Variety is key, or I get bored. I like Spinning, boxing, and yoga, and sometimes I’ll take a dance class,” Katie began, adding:
“I have my own Spin bike, so I can do it at home when I have to get up really early; otherwise I go to FlywheelSports. I got into boxing a couple of years ago, and now I take classes at Rumble. They play great music, and it’s so fun. It targets your upper body, which is good because I can forget to do that.”
