MCU fans were blessed with the glorious presence of Megan Thee Stallion in this week's episode of the new series, "She-Hulk."
Yes, Megan added a new title to her name, officially becoming a Marvel star. However, the unsuspected cameo wouldn't have been possible without this star!
Megan Thee Stallion Features In Marvel's 'She-Hulk'
Episode 3 of "She-Hulk: Attorney At Law," titled "The People vs. Emil Blonsky," tells the storyline of Dennis Bukowski, a fellow lawyer and former colleague of Jen Walters/She-Hulk (Tatiana Maslany), played by Drew Matthews.
Bukowski is seeking justice and suing his girlfriend Runa, a shape-shifting elf from Asgard, whom he spent a whopping $175,000 thinking she was Megan Thee Stallion. Unfortunately, the case gets thrown out by a judge who happens to be his shape-shifting girlfriend.
Luckily, Bukowski's lawyer Pug meets Walters in a bar and laments his client's predicament, convincing her to testify on his behalf. She-Hulk reluctantly agrees, but not without shading the DA's office lawyer — who once stuck his tongue out at her for being a girl — in the process.
"Dennis Bukowski is an almost pathologically entitled man. He would absolutely believe that he’s dating Megan Thee Stallion, because he’s truly that delusional," Walters stated in her testimony. Thanks to her testimony, Bukowski wins the case and is awarded $175,000.
In a post-credit scene, we see Walters and the "Sweetest Pie" rapper twerking in her office to her hit song, "Body." She stuns in a pink skirt suit with matching heels as she twerks and cheers on Walters. After the hilarious routine, Megan says, "oh, you're way more fun than my last lawyer."
In excitement, Walters replies, "I will kill for you, Megan Thee Stallion," but the Grammy-winning rapper isn't having it as she answers, "Dial it back!"
Jameela Jamil Has THIS To Say About Megan's Cameo
The 27-year-old dropped the news that she would be joining the Marvel family in her recent profile for The Cut. Following the announcement, Megan posted a video of her twerking up a storm above a phone left onstage by a fan.
"Somebody threw their phone on stage already recording 😂😂😂 I said welp🤷🏽♀️," she captioned the post as though hinting what her role would be in the MCU series. After the premiere of episode three, actress Jameela Jamil, who stars in the series as Titania, a social media influencer, revealed her role in making history with the cameo.
She wrote in a tweet, "You're all welcome! ❤️ I asked her to be in the show, and she said YES! And She-Hulk twerking with Thee Stallion history was made. And it was glorious. Amen. 👑." Jamil and Megan are good friends. They both served as judges on the first two seasons of HBO's "Legendary."
Maslany also shared her thoughts on acting alongside the Houston native in an interview with ET Online, saying, "It was the best day of my life. It was so great. I was and am a massive fan of hers, and when Jessica [Gao, She Hulk: Attorney at Law creator] told me that was a thing that she had written into the script, I nearly died, like, I couldn't even deal with it."
Jessica Gao, the creator, talked about how they went about choosing Megan as their star cameo. In an interview, she revealed, "When we wrote the episode, we knew that we needed to have a very famous, successful, and beautiful female celebrity. But we weren’t sure [if they should be] should it be an actor or a musician– like they could all work, [but] it would just be kind of a different vibe for the story."
