Miley Cyrus is back on her yoga mat. The 27-year-old singer now comes with a fitness reputation that’s almost on a par with her music one – enough snaps of the “Slide Away” singer’s rock-hard abs are proof.
Miley stayed relatively quiet when it came to sharing her Valentine’s Day. No giant PDAs with boyfriend Cody Simpson appeared (aside from a little shopping the day after). The “SHE IS COMING” singer did, however, take to her Instagram in throwback mode.
One minute, she’s telling Instagram it’s “Happy Vagina Day” and telling fans to “touch yourselves,” the next, she’s dishing out fitspo. Sunday brought the latter as Miley stretched it out in her front yard.
Sunday Funday might be a hashtag, but Miley seemed out to start her own by captioning her video “Sunday Bootay.”
The video showed Miley outdoors and near the wrought-iron gates of her home. The former “Hannah Montana” star was jumping up and down on a dark yoga mat and angling her booty perfectly to the camera. Miley appeared low-key, wearing an ankle-length pair of spandex leggings in black, also rocking a white sports bra. Both flaunted the blonde’s toned body, scultped muscles, and tattoos.
The video may have showcased Miley in a fuss-free way, but it didn’t hold back on showing fans the star’s body, balance and agility. Miley was seen lunging into her energetic jumps, maintaining perfect posture mid-air, then skillfully using her arms and bent knees to support her body weight as she landed.
The star opted out of showing her face, only displaying her hair worn up in a bun. Miley was also barefoot.
Miley is no stranger to making workout sessions interesting, though. Earlier this year, she wore nothing but a tiny bra and rolled-down panties as 23-year-old beau Cody lifted weights in the gym.
Miley takes her yogi side seriously. The 2019 holiday period also saw the singer share some fitness tips with her social media followers ahead of Christmas.
“I’ve been trying to be super gentle on myself and even if it’s just a walk with my mama or dogs in the morning! Movement is an important ingredient to self love / care!”she wrote.
“Take time off, relax, enjoy warm meals, indulge in the sweets we usually try to stay away from but alsoooooooo KEEP MOVING!” the singer added.
Miley seems to know her stuff, be it fashion, beats, or, apparently, hormones.
“Today I did a light round of pilates just to release some healthy endorphins and I felt super positive and lifted right after my practice, Even if it’s for 15-20 minutes a day! Something is better than nothing!” her message continued.
Meanwhile, other aspects of the singer’s health have been less steady. Miley underwent vocal cord surgery in November 2019, then finding herself on “vocal rest.” Then again, she emphasized that she was “on vocal rest, not body” – the fitness never stops for Miley.
