Britney Spears Sparks Worry In Braless Outing With Medical Boot

Britney Spears has sparked major concern. The 38-year-old pop icon was photographed heading to a tanning appointment recently, finding herself chased by the paparazzi as she navigated L.A.'s streets while wearing a medical boot.

The "Toxic" singer has been notably absent of late over on her Instagram – the last post showing Britney came on January 30, and even this was a throwback to Christmas 2019 as the star showed off some yoga moves.

The snaps of Britney in her medical boot have been generating worry, with viewers to the photos also voicing concern over the blonde's appearance.

Photos obtained by The Daily Mail showed Britney in a parking lot and in full sunlight. The "Womanizer" singer was wearing a short-sleeved and cropped red shirt worn braless, pairing her bold-colored top with a tiny and low-slung pair of white shorts.

Notable, was Britney's footwear. While the singer wore a Birkenstock sandal on her left foot, her right one was strapped up into a black medical boot with thick padding. The star wore her long blonde hair down and curled around her shoulders, also appearing to have a little eyeliner on – possibly from the night before.

Viewers to The Daily Mail's images left plenty of remarks – and they were varied. While some commented on the wardrobe, others queried whether the singer is doing okay overall.

A remark receiving over 900 upvotes shot right up to the top of the newspaper's comments section.

"Why does she always look like shes been on a three day sesh???" the user wrote.

"Something is going on because she looks very unhappy," another added, with over 500 users liking the comment.

"She needs help, I think," a third said.

Elsewhere, users commented on the mom of two's look.

"Britney, please start dressing your age. Yes your body looks great, but this dress is for teens," a user wrote.

"What in God's name is she wearing? Idk any 38 years that dress like that lol," another added.

Britney is known for her trademark youthful wardrobe. Tiny shorts and skimpy summery tops are the singer's standard, and have been for years. That said, some readers simply voiced overall concern.

"Normally I would give a sly comment on here about some actor looking off the wall. But when it's Britney you just want to give her a hug" was one such comment.

The photos come just days after "Orange Is The New Black" star Taryn Manning took to Instagram with a cryptic post. The actress had posted a throwback photo of herself, Zoe Saldana, and Britney from their 2002 "Crossroads" movie – a caption suggesting concern for Britney went viral.

"I am worried about my friend and co-star," Taryn had said, also adding: "Too many times we let one go a-stray and never bother to poke our heads around. "Not my chair, not my problem."

Taryn later clarified her statement, saying: "The reason why I posted was because many fans of her contact me daily BEGGING me to do something. I used to not respond. Then, I started to ask for proof of these allegations they presented. Finally, I posted because it was eating away at me for months."

"My apologies to Britney. I had no media agenda. Never was I seeking attention, nor press via Britney," the star concluded.
