Every young actor gets their big break eventually. Daisy Ridley's big moment came when she landed the part of Rey in the latest Star Wars epic trilogy. Her iconic role made her as legendary as Carrie Fisher's and Mark Hamill's characters who reprised their roles as Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker. Now that Ridley is taking a quick break from her journey through "The Force", she has moved on to other projects. Some might even include a Star-Wars spin-off in the near future.

After playing such an iconic role as Rey, nothing will ever compare. Daisy Ridley is lucky to have even starred in a major blockbuster film like Star Wars, which is a rare opportunity for many up-and-coming actors. Additionally, Ridley's now impressive acting background has given her the ability to turn down unsuitable roles. "Star Wars has given me the opportunity to do smaller things and allowed me to say no, which is glorious." As a young female actress that's a pretty big advantage to have in the industry. Ridley obviously loves playing strong female heroines and honestly, who can blame her?

Fans trust that Daisy Ridley will find another strong female character to play soon enough. Though her upcoming film Chaos Walking features a strong female lead, the plotline is a mess. The film takes place on a post-apocalyptic planet, called the New World, where an alien virus kills off all the women but simultaneously gives the men the ability of telekinesis. Daisy Ridley's character, Viola, is portrayed as the first woman seen in years, leading to some startling secrets about the dystopian world. It sounds like a low-budget film and probably won't do that well in theaters or on DVD. Not sure why Ridley choose this role, but hopefully, the end result is better than expected.

While Ridley's next big film project seems like a diaster in the making, her fashion choices keep getting better. At last month's British Academy Film Awards in London, Ridley made a show-stopping entrance. The Star Wars actress worked the red-carpet in a teal green gown with the flowing cape to match. This isn't the first time the 27 year-old rocked a cape. Back in December 2019, Ridley wore an all white ensemble with a beautiful sparkling cape, channeling some serious Princess Leia vibes. Of course the 2019 ensemble out does her 2020 look on so many levels. Nonetheless her teal green gown won fashion critics over.

Apart from acting gigs, Ridley has received offers from tv series as well. Her fame just keeps growing, especially since it's been announced she'll guest judge on the 12th season of RuPaul's Drag Race. While the show celebrates the queer community in all their beauty, it also caters to the world of fashion. Daisy Ridley hasn't exactly won that fashion icon staple yet but her latest ensembles have caused quite the buzz among fashion critics. Can't wait to see her on RuPauls newest season!

Ridley's career on tv may be just beginning, but her profession as a film star grows steadily every day. A few months ago, it was revealed that Ridley's Rey from Star Wars would hit the big screen again in a major spin-off. There is no working title as of yet but the storyline does reveal that Rey will train a new generation of Jedi. Unfortunately, because the film will take place 5 years after the events of the last movie, a new actress will play a much older version of Rey. Luckily the spin-off will feature flashbacks of the character's younger days, which are said to feature Daisy Ridley. Looks like the 27 year old isn't done with saving the world yet!
