Valentine's Day is one of the most romantic days of the year as couples, friends, and families alike express love and gratitude for one another. For Vanessa Bryant, unfortunately, this Valentine's Day is a hard one. Nearly three weeks ago, Vanessa lost husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant in a tragic helicopter crash. After staying away from social media for a few days, Vanessa penned a heartfelt post expressing gratitude for everyone's kind words. Now, she's taken to Instagram again to express love for her husband and daughter "in heaven".

Vanessa uploaded a video that plays the song "Tell Him" by Lauryn Hill alongside an adorable throwback picture of her and Kobe. "To my forever Valentine, I love you so much," Vanessa begins the caption. "Missing you so much on your favorite holiday. Te amo per sempre." The heartbreaking post reveals that Valentine's Day was Kobe's "favorite holiday", making Vanessa miss her husband especially hard today. Nonetheless, Vanessa still pays tribute to her husband and her "forever Valentine" in her post.

Vanessa also pays tribute to her daughter, Gigi, who also passed away in the crash. "Kisses to you and Gigi in heaven," she continues the post. "Happy Valentine's Day, my babies. With all my love, your boo-boo." Over the near three weeks since the crash, Vanessa has used Instagram as a way to express her grief and emotions, and connect with the community of people who adored Kobe and are mourning the loss along with Vanessa. No one, of course, has been as devastated as she has.

Just a few days ago, Vanessa penned another emotional Instagram post that details how difficult it has been for her "to accept that both Kobe and Gigi are gone." "I can't process both at the same time," her post reads. "It's like I'm trying to process Kobe being gone but my body refuses to accept my Gigi will never come back to me. It feels wrong." She also describes the anger she has that her daughter won't be able to wake up another day when "she had so much life to live."

Kobe and Gianna Bryant passed away on January 26th after a tragic helicopter crash. The helicopter allegedly got lost in "thick clouds" before it crashed into a mountainside, killing all nine passengers on board. The aircraft was on its way to Kobe's Mamba basketball academy. In the weeks following Kobe's death, fans have poured out their support for the Bryant family and have reflected fondly on their memories of Kobe. We're wishing Vanessa a wonderful Valentine's Day with the rest of her family, and that she is able to feel happy memories of her husband and daughter tonight!
