Lizzo took a page out of Nicki Minaj’s VMAs feud book.

Seven years after Minaj took aim at Miley Cyrus during her acceptance speech for Best Hip-Hop Video VMA, Lizzo did the same thing.

During Sunday Night’s awards show, the “Truth Hurts” singer took the stage to perform AND accept the VMA for “Video For Good.”

She won the award for her “About Damn Time” music video.

The big win comes after comedian Aries Spears said she looks like the “s**t emoji” 💩.

In an interview with The Art of Dialogue, the comedian said, “I just can’t get passed the fact that she looks like the s**t emoji. You got a very pretty face, but she keep showing her body off (racial slur), like come on man. Like come on yo.”

Spears then bragged about himself and called himself “handsome” and said gets p***y.

“But a woman built like a plate of mashed potatoes is in trouble,” Spears said about Lizzo.

People did not take kindly to his comments on social media.

“Why he breathin so hard? Ain’t he sittin down?” one person quipped.

Another noticed his heavy breathing and tweeted, “Whole time you breathing heavy while sitting and Lizzo is dancing in. heels for hours AND playing the flute during them. And PSA: being fat doesn’t mean you’re unhealthy.”

Lizzo obviously got wind of his comments and shed some light on it during the VMAs.

“To the b***hes that got something to say about me in the press… You know what I’m not gonna say nothing,” she said during her acceptance speech. “They be like, ‘Lizzo why don’t you clap back? Why don’t you clap back?’ Cause b***h I’m winning, hoe. Big b***h is winning, hoe!”

Fans immediately flooded the comments with praise and support.

“That’s why we love lizzo!!!!!!!🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌” a fan wrote.

Another replied, “Queen, 100%. 🔥🙌🏾.”

“Winning is the best revenge,” a supportive fan commented.

Another fiercely defended her speech writing, “For anyone about to shame her for this reaction, it’s in response to a washed up ‘comedian’ literally comparing her body to a plate/bowl of mashed potatoes among some other hurtful stuff about her size. She absolutely deserves to feel this win in any way she chooses. Period. 👏.”

Lizzo’s intro into her speech, “To the b***hes who got something to say,” is very similar to Minaj’s 2015 VMAs speech where she called out Miley.

Seven years ago, Minaj delivered this iconic sentence, “Back to this b***h that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press; Miley, what’s good?”

Miley, who was hosting the award show that year, shot back, “Hey, we’re all in this industry, we all do interviews and we all know how they manipulate sh-t; Nicki, congratu-f--king-lations.”

She also threw some more shade Nicki's way with her expressions and intonation.
