Pop princess Katy Perry and Hollywood heartthrob Orlando Bloom were set to head to the altar last year and exchange vows. However, the couple ended up postponing the wedding and moving it up to 2020. Perry is a fellow judge along with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on "American Idol." The trio recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel, and when asked about whether or not her fellow judges would be invited to her wedding, her response was pretty straightforward. She cannot afford them.

The pair, Katy, 35 and Orland, 43, respectively, are set to wed sometime this year. Kimmel wanted to know if she was going to invite her co-judges. That is when things started to get just a little bit awkward. Perry stated, "I can’t afford them." Kimmel pressed her further and she said, "I call myself a ‘bride-chilla.’ I’m kinda chill. But I am one of those girls where I got engaged Feb. 14 and I booked the place Feb. 19. I took it very seriously."

Well, what if they were to perform instead? Kimmel asked Perry if she would have Richie and Bryan perform at her nuptials instead of attending them, of which she said, "Like I said, I can’t afford them! Look, they have a lot of work to do while I’m out getting married again." Perry was previously married to comedian Russell Brand, from 2010 to 2012, when the pair then got divorced. She got engaged to Bloom on Valentine's Day 2019.

Katy decided to chime in and break the awkwardness between them all by saying, "It’s gonna be a small wedding!" Bryan had joked around, saying, "Lionel and I, we’ve been dropping hints and this solidified it." Kimmel then said, "You don’t need to drop any more. You’re not invited." Perry replied by saying, "Let’s just say they’re on the B-list." No one really knows any details about their big day just yet. Later in the interview, Katy joked to Richie about officiating her wedding. But her dad is a preacher, so, it was only a joke.

About pushing their nuptials back from 2019 to 2020, a source said, "Katy and Orlando decided it was best to postpone their wedding for the time being. They are planning something really special and the timing didn’t work out at this moment in terms of the venue. They really want to make their wedding day incredible and they don’t want to rush the planning and possibly miss out on the little details." Another source added, "Orlando and Katy feel like they want to do everything right this time around because they both are very focused on making this their last marriage ever." Bloom split from model Miranda Kerr in 2013.

A friend went on to say, "They just want everything to fall into place with location, having all their friends and family able to attend, the dress to be perfect. Pretty much everything that goes into a wedding before, during, and afterwards just needs to be fine tuned so it is as perfect as possible. The love they have for each other is something they both want to represent to the fullest during their wedding, so to make it right is of the utmost importance as they are very excited for it all to happen."
