Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson Share Some News In Blues
In a series of pictures shared by Jenna Johnson and her beau, Val Chmerkovskiy, fans saw the intimate and lowkey gender reveal they held for their unborn baby. Chmerkovskiy kicked things off by posting two images of himself and his pregnant wife in the corner of a sun-lit room on his Instagram page.
While the first photo showed the duo holding gold-colored canisters, the next slide featured them shooting blue confetti cannons from the canisters. He added a blue heart emoji to the post, which has received well over 90k likes.
As for his wife, the 28-year-old opted for a more detailed view of the event on her Instagram. Kicking off with a black-and-white picture, Johnson included several slides that showed how excited she and her man were about welcoming a boy. In her caption, she wrote:
"IT'S A..... BOY!!!!!!! [blue heart emoji]. Today we are officially half way there to meeting our son. Saying those words still makes me emotional!! SO EXCITED to be a boy mom [crying face emoji]."

Johnson and Chmerkovskiy kept things casual for the unforgettable moment, with the mom-to-be showcasing her baby bump in a green fringed tank top and matching maxi-skirt. Her Ukrainian husband sported a white tank, khaki pants, and a black beanie. Despite the low-key gender reveal, the "Being the Ricardos" dancers received congratulatory comments from their celebrity friends like; Ricki Lake, Stephen' tWitch' Boss, Normani, the Bella Twins, Kenya Moore, and Heather Morris.
These celebs and more have been cheering for the couple since they first sparked dating rumors in 2015. According to US Magazine, relationship speculations started after they were reportedly seen "getting cozy" during "DWTS" rehearsals.
The Ukrainian-American pro dancer was caught kissing the Utah native on her cheek as they grabbed lunch together in February 2016. Although they did not confirm their relationship then, Johnson and Chmerkovskiy allegedly split up, and the latter began dating model Rose.
By June 2017, the couple was back as they took a romantic getaway to Europe together. One month later, their relationship became Instagram official following their attendance at Chmerkovskiy's brother, Maksim's wedding to Peta Murgatroyd. The two-time World Latin Dance Champion popped the question to Johnson in June 2018 during a romantic trip to Italy.
Without wasting more time, the pair walked down the aisle in a romantic ceremony at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, in April 2019. The big day was graced by numerous "DWTS" alums, including Adam Rippon, Normani, Laurie Hernandez, Ginger Zee, and Nikki Bella.
Chmerkovskiy Got Into It With Kanye West Three Years Ago

In 2019, The Blast reported that Chmerkovskiy had no patience for Kanye West's games after the rapper released his "Jesus is King" album. The pro dancer mainly had a problem with Ye's single, "Oh God," where he dissed "DWTS." The rapper's diss line went, "That's why I charge the prices that I charge / I can't be out here "Dancing With the Stars" / No, I cannot let my family starve."
Simply put, the father-of-four allegedly claimed that he upped the prices on his merch to avoid stooping low and joining a dance competition. Soon after he heard that line, Chmerkovskiy took to Instagram to remind the rapper that his then-wife, Kim Kardashian, had once joined the "DWTS" cast. The uploaded clip showed the shirtless dancer grooving to "Oh God" until that line.
The 14-time U.S. National Latin Dance champion then called attention to Kardashian's participation in "DWTS" Season seven in 2008 with pictures of her on the dance floor. The reality star had twirled and worked hard with pro dancer Mark Ballas to keep up in the ballroom. She eventually became the third star to get booted off the completion series, finishing in 11th place.
