All the Rumors About Who Tessa Thompson Has Dated

Tessa Thompson is currently one of Hollywood's favorite women. She's had an incredibly successful few years with roles in the MCU and the reboot of the Men in Black franchise.

She's also gotten a lot of attention for her personal life, which is interesting considering the fact that the star is very private and rarely shares about her personal life.

Perhaps because she's so private, the Internet loves to speculate about who she might be dating. Though Thompson hasn't publicly confirmed any relationships, rumors are constantly circulating.

Here are a few of the people the rumor mill says Thompson has dated.

Thompson and Janelle Monae have been close for several years. In 2015, Thompson had a small role in one of Monae's music videos. After that, they were frequently spotted hanging out, dining, and having drinks.

Over the next few years, Thompson and Monae were rarely seen apart in public. They frequently attended events together, sparking rumors that they were more than just friends.

In 2018, both Monae and Thompson came out as queer within days of each other. The LGBTQ+ community rejoiced at having new members, and many assumed that Thompson and Monae would confirm their relationship.

In an interview, Thompson even said that she and Monae loved each other very much, but later denied that they were in a relationship.

After Captain Marvel came out, the LGBTQ+ community online began insisting that Captain Marvel is a lesbian. Since Valkyrie, Thompson's character in the MCU, is canon bisexual, fans began insisting that Captain Marvel and Valkyrie should date.

Thompson and Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, decided to weigh in, saying that they absolutely agreed their characters should date. They even broke the fandom when they discussed lesbian sex during a panel at a convention.

During all this, rumors began to circulate that Thompson and Monae - who never confirmed they were dating - had broken up. And then Larson and Thompson were seen all over the place. They even kissed at the Avengers Endgame premiere.

The two never confirmed that they were dating, and Larson has never come out as queer. But the Internet loves to believe that these two dated.

These days, Thompson has been seen cozying up to Dev Hynes, a British musician who goes by the name "Blood Orange." During the summer of 2019, the two were spotted together several times. They were even spotted dining together in Paris.

The two have been photographed getting cozy in public several times, and have attended several events, including the Sundance Film Festival together.

Neither Hynes nor Thompson have confirmed the relationship, but as with Thompson's past relationships, the Internet and the media have decided they're together.

So, there are a lot of rumors about Tessa Thompson's love life, and there have been for years. But will we ever know for sure if she dated any of those people? Will Thompson ever confirm any of these relationships?

Well, anything could happen. But given her track record of staying quiet about her love life and her personal life in general, we probably won't ever know for sure.
