Halle Berry Shows Instagram New Shaved Head

Halle Berry has a new look. The 53-year-old Oscar winner took to Instagram on Tuesday to debut a new hairstyle – and she managed to wow half the platform in the process.

A pixie cut was earmarked as the "Catwoman" actress' trademark decades ago – and nobody's forgotten her iconic short cut in 2002 movie "Die Another Day" – but the look shown by the star today took things one step further. Halle revealed that the back of her head had been shaved into a precise pattern.

The photo showed Halle shot from behind. While the long locks had, in part, been kept with a swept-up bun, it was a different story from the ears-down. Halle was sporting a buzz cut, with neat shaving showing semi-circular and upside-down triangle patterns.

Halle posed with hints of her left hand visible as she placed one hand to her neck, with a warrior-like piercing in her right ear also visible.

A caption from Halle thanked groomer and photographer Ohre Kilpatrick, with Halle saying that Ohre "went IN."

The update didn't go unnoticed, with likes and comments pouring in fast. The former sat at over 10,000 by the time the update was 45 minutes old, even garnering a celebrity like from "Friends" alum Jennifer Aniston.

Fans were loving it.

"So tribal cool??," one fan wrote.

"Lit!" another said.

"Today is a "lovely hair day," another chimed in.

Nothing gets past Halle's fans, though. One fan even commented on the nails. Elsewhere, Halle was dubbed an icon for her hairdos over the years.

"Halles hair inspired a trend and an entire generation," the fan said.

Halle has been making headlines of late, and not just for her upcoming MMA "Bruised" movie. The actress recently unveiled that she's launching a fitness line, and she went with a super-sexy and sweat-drenched photo to make the announcement.

Halle definitely isn't one to take duck-face selfies in designer athleisurewear for her "workout moment." The actress who completed three years' worth of martial arts training in six months also announced that she's eyeing up "another" Jiu-Jitsu belt this year.

"I can’t believe it’s been another year of setting goals and smashing them with this incredible community. This Friday, as #2020 approaches, is the perfect time to re-group and set our fitness #intention for the new year," she wrote to her followers at the end of 2019, adding:

"Next year, my intention is to earn another belt in Jiu Jitsu!"
