Are Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse Breaking Up?

Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse are best known for playing lovebirds Betty and Jughead on the CW's hit series Riverdale. While fans gush over "Bughead" they love the IRL couple even more! Lili and Cole started dating in 2017 after meeting on set. There have been many reported romances on the set of the CW show, but none of them as beloved as Lili and Cole. However, is it possible that these two love birds are calling it quits? The couple's co-stars Camila Mendes and Charles Melton recently ended their own relationship, and, now, it seems like Lili and Cole might be following suit!

According to Perez Hilton, Lili and Cole were not feeling the heat at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on Sunday night. Apparently the Hustlers actress and the former Suite Life of Zach and Cody star avoided each other all night. And they didn't even pose for photos together, which they have done at previous events and red carpets. Reportedly, Lili spent the evening with her Riverdale sisters Camila Mendes and Madeline Petsch, while Cole got some quality time with his brother, Dylan.

Although Lili and Cole have been secretive about their relationship for a long time, they've never shied away from posing for photos together. So, the fact that the two Riverdale actors seemed to be avoiding each other at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party, is cause for serious concern amongst fans. Still, this isn't the first time the pair have been rumored to have broken up, so it's possible that the couple just wanted to catch up with their other friends.

Apparently, the couple recently unfollowed each other on Instagram, leading to more suspicions about the status of their relationship. Lili claimed that the unfollow was due to a social media "glitch". She assured fans that she and Cole were still very much together. Despite the actress's assurances, however, the two stars are still not following each other on Instagram. Is it possible that Lili is trying to cover up a break-up for now? With Season 4 of Riverdale currently airing, it's possible that the stars would try to hide their breakup until the season is over in order to keep viewers more invested in their onscreen romance.

Again, this isn't the first time the couple has had to face questions about the status of their relationship. Not even a year ago, in the summer of 2019, major break-up rumors started circulating around Lili and Cole. The rumors were quickly proven false by a cheeky tweet from Lili herself warning the public not to believe everything they read online. Could this be just another rumor? Or is it officially the end for Betty and Jughead?
