Ireland Baldwin Says She Does NOT Get An Allowance From Her Famous Parents

“At different points in my life, my parents have definitely helped me,” Ireland said, before admitting, “I do not get a monthly allowance from my parents because I’m 26 years old.” She quickly added, “Nothing wrong with that if you do get an allowance from your parents at 26.”

“That’s totally cool if your parents help you out,” she went on. “My parents have helped me so much of my life. They’ve made life a lot easier for me than in comparison to a lot of people.”

She mentioned that she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do with her career over the years, and at one point even debated going to med school, but her mom made it clear they would always try to support her no matter what.

She said that her mom, 68, is living her own life and doing her "own thing," and said that her father “has a lot of kids, a wife [Hilaria Baldwin], and a whole family.” The 38-year-old yoga instructor has six kids with the “30 Rock” actor, 64, and is currently pregnant with a seventh child, a baby girl, that is due in the fall.

So, in short, she doesn't get an allowance, but added that it would be "f---ing sick" and "really great" if she did.

Ireland Answers A Question About Being A 'Nepotism Baby'

Even though she doesn’t get an allowance, Ireland responded to a user that said she was giving off “Nepo baby vibes” in one of her recent videos.

“The only problem with being a nepotism baby is when you don’t have self-awareness,” Ireland said. “Nothing is worse than when someone is born into a famous family or between two famous parents – or one famous parent – and they fail to acknowledge how these doors were opened for them and how they’ve had it a lot easier than other people and they make up this fake struggle.”

“I’ve had a lot of struggles in my life,” she continued, saying that people can’t understand her struggle because everyone has their own struggles. “There’s a lot of painful s--- that comes with growing up in the spotlight and I’m not going to get into that … but I just want to say that there are really talented kids that have come from family families, famous parents, and there are a lot of really untalented ones as well, just like people are untalented or talents, but you definitely do have quite the advantage when you are put in the best acting classes and go to the best schools and people love your parents so much that they give you more advantages than other kids.”

“You just have to acknowledge it. I acknowledge it. I’ve had it a lot easier than other people and it’s not hard to just accept that,” she said. “But it’s possible to grow up and have a life entirely separate from your parents. I have a life entirely separate from both of my parents now.”

“I’m very separate from them,” she added, saying that she’s not “waiting for them to get me opportunities and do things." She concluded her video, saying, “I am my own person and do my own thing, and I know that’s hard, maybe, to accept, but you know, just... yeah.”
