Anyone who said TikTok caters to millennials hasn't come across Deven Karpelman's @tequilanddonuts page. She is literally all of us regardless of your age. She says what's on her mind and takes her viewers along with her on her daily adventures shopping, gives funny tips and tricks for things you probably didn't even realize you needed a tip or trick for, and so much more. Karpelman's content is relatable in one way or another for any generation, but she's certainly got the Gen-X'ers hooked on her content.
Karpelman's Content Is Relatable And Funny
Karpelman, 59, posted her first video to TikTok in June 2020 at the height of the pandemic. Her videos started out as simple, yet relatable to so many and focused on all the insanity the pandemic was bringing into our lives. She seemed to grab the attention of many scrolling through their FYP feed as people commented on her videos with, "I'm gonna be you when I grow up. I just know it," "you are literally the funniest person ever," "You are my whole mood! I love your content and thank you for speaking about serious issues like depression, it makes me feel not alone," among many others.
Her relatable content has helped to grow her page and pull in fans from all generations. Many of her videos revolve around shopping and malls. In one video, she talks about how to escape the kiosk salespeople in the mall.
Viewers definitely understood the assignment commenting with, "I always say 'sorry I’m allergic' regardless of what they’re selling. Karpelman Shares Hilarious Embarrassing Moments
In another video, she shares a funny moment that happened to her when she was trying to relax on a meditative walk around what she thought was a closed elementary school. The relatable comments started to pour in.

Karpelman is a grandma and a teacher who loves shopping, so much of her content revolves around those things. Some videos feature her husband Ralph and granddaughter Bella.
