Reality star Craig Conover has an idea of what he wants his wedding to be like, even though it might not align with what his girlfriend, Paige DeSorbo, wants.
The "Southern charm" star and "Summer House" personality first met while they starred in their respective Bravo shows. However, they became friends after spending more time together while they filmed "Winter House" in 2021. At the time, Conover and DeSorbo were dating Natalie Hegnauer and Perry Rahbar, respectively.
After wrapping the series, the pair called it quits from their respective partners, and by the fall, Conover and DeSorbo were confirmed to be dating. Although they aren't engaged yet, the "Southern Charm" star knows exactly what he wants for his wedding, even though they might not align with his girlfriend's dreams.
Read on for more details.
Craig Conover Wants A Laid-Back Wedding
Recently, the Bravolebrity celebrated the wedding of Patricia Altschul and Shep Rose's dogs with girlfriend Paige DeSorbo. This event got him thinking about how the special day with his girlfriend would look.
"Paige's vision is completely different from mine," Conover shared in an exclusive interview with E!News. "I ended up moving to the Bahamas for that year or two because of a wedding I went to in Abaco, and everyone was barefoot when you got to the wedding. It was just so laid back, and everyone spent a week there."
He continued, "I want to have a big welcome crab feast when everyone gets there, and then I want to have the rehearsal dinner on Thursday, a party Friday and the wedding Saturday, and a brunch Sunday. But you know, I am just a boy that has never really looked into all of this."
Paige DeSorbo Does Not Share The Same Dream As Him
He also added that while this was what he wanted, the idea might not align with his girlfriend, who most probably wants a "four to five-day experience."
"I don't think Paige wants a beach wedding, but she's OK with it being like a four-to-five day experience," he shared. "I think her vision is somewhere in Italy." Despite these plans, the pair aren't engaged yet. However, they are spending their summer together in Charleston and have admitted that their summer was off to a great start.
"It's pretty hard to play house without having a kitchen and living out of boxes, and the fact that Paige feels comfortable here with the house like this is an incredible sign," Conover shared.
"Paige loves me for who I am, and I love that feeling. She's my biggest fan. And I think that's something I've been looking for for a long time — forever."
Craig Conover Is Focused On Growing 'Sewing Down South'
Asides from all these recent happenings, Conover has been working on growing "Sewing Down South," the sewing and home decor business. According to UsWeekly, the brand not only focuses on decorative pillows but also features clothing items, a kitchen line, and Charleston-inspired candles.
Recently, he posted on his Instagram story that he had expanded his brand to HomeGoods stores, a retail chain that boasts hundreds of stores across the United States.
"Sewing Down South has always been about making your home feel like you are on vacation and building your haven there," Conover shared, per E!News. "RumHaven was doing the same thing. They wanted to create a drink that transported you right to the islands, and that's what this does."
The Pair Started As Friends
Conover and DeSorbo met while starring in the "Southern Charm" and "Summer House" series. However, they became friends after they spent time together filming "Winter House."
At the time, Conover and DeSorbo were dating different partners. After wrapping the series, the pair called it quits from their respective partners, and by the fall, Conover and DeSorbo were confirmed to be dating.
"When we got to Vermont, I didn't know he had a girlfriend. So, I was a little bummed when I first got there. But, of course, he was respectful to his girlfriend," DeSorbo shared with UsWeekly. "And I'm so happy now looking back that he had a girlfriend because we built just a very platonic friendship, which is, like, the base of our relationship now. Everything does happen for a reason."
