It's pretty normal for Bachelor Nation to come together on social media every week and dissect the up-to-the-minute drama on this season of "The Bachelorette!"
This season has inspired many types of reactions from the franchise's dedicated fanbase. Whether it be the series' decision to have two lead 'bachelorettes' all season long, to the way in which production handled the mysterious departure of contestant Logan Palmer, Twitter has been along for the ride every step of the way.
Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia's joint journeys to finding true love are winding down.
Last night, Bachelor Nation saw the first of two "Hometown" visits of the season. Meeting your significant other's parents can be a terrifying experience and Recchia in particular felt the fear firsthand!

Bachelor Nation needed to grab tissues and also have popcorn handy for last night's emotionally charged episode!
Recchia visited four hometowns and met three sets of families, (she ended up backing out of meeting one contestant's family because she knew her connections with the other men were stronger), and Windey met her remaining three men's families.
Each of the hometown stories and dates (with the exception of Recchia's suitor, Aven Jones, whose visit we'll see next week), had its own unique attributes and reasons why they were memorable. One of Windey's suitors, Erich Schwer, shared the devastatingly personal story of his father's terminal cancer diagnosis.
Windey, who is an ICU nurse, was able to get a unique perspective from Schwer's mother on what it means to truly withstand the tragedies life can bring to a marriage.
Sadly, Bachelor Nation learned Mr. Schwer had passed away last month. According to E!, he had passed away only five days after the season's July 11th premiere. He was also memorialized at the end of the episode.
The outlet also reported Erich had commemorated his father's death on Instagram.

One of last night's most notable hometown dates belonged to Recchia's suitor, Tino Franco. Recchia has noticeably been smitten with Franco all season long; let's just say she was in for quite the surprise when she met his parents!
Franco's parents were adamant in their skepticism over the timeline of their son's relationship with Recchia. Mama and Papa Franco were both steadfast in grilling their son's potential future wife to the point of making her obviously uncomfortable.
The discomfort was also felt on Twitter, where fans discussed their passionate reactions and attempted to ease the tension with hilarious memes!
Twitter user @SuperVOGirl shared a photo of Mr. Franco and joked, "Oh, you love Tino? What's the name of his childhood imaginary best friend and also his blood type?"

Another Twitter user, @Jhorojas_, validated The Francos' skepticism while also acknowledging they were being tough on Recchia.
Her tweet read, "I get Tino's parents being skeptical about this whole process but they're only being a---holes to Rachel when THEIR son decided to go on the show."
The reaction to Franco's parents was so widespread to the point where the hashtag "#Tino" is still trending on Twitter nearly 24 hours after the episode aired. Bachelor Nation sure knows how to express themselves!
