Bam Margera Reveals Why He Would Never Be Part Of A 'Jackass' Movie Again

Professional skateboarder, stuntman, and former "Jackass" star, Bam Margera has no intention of rejoining the franchise. The actor was among the movie's initial cast when it was released in 2002, as well as several other spin-offs.

The 42-year-old was eventually kicked out of the project during the production of the most recent installment, "Jackass Forever," after violating his sobriety contract with Paramount. The next few months saw the actor campaign against the studio to receive compensation for their decision.

Despite his previous decision to take the matter to court and even do a press tour after Paramount's decision to fire him, Margera recently revealed that he no longer had any interest in rejoining the "Jackass" cast, and he was happier without it.

Margera, a former "Jackass" cast, recently revealed that he was not interested in starring in another film by the franchise if given an offer. The actor's comments were made after being kicked off the 2020 project due to violating his contract with the "Jackass" franchise.

He appeared in a recent episode of his co Star's podcast, "Wild Ride With Steve-O" (via Screen Rant), and talked about how everything happened for a reason and that he was better off without being a part of the franchise.

The 42-year-old said, "Everything [was] meant for a reason, and I'm much better off not being in it. I'm happy to not be in it. I don't want to do that anymore. I don't want to be a part of it. I'm much happier without it."

Besides his acting, the 42-year-old is a professional stuntman and skateboarder. Margera was in the original film as well as other spin-offs, including "Bam's World Domination," "Viva La Bam," "Bam's Bad Ass Game Show," and "Bam's Unholy Union."

The professional stuntman was initially supposed to be among the "Jackass Forever" cast; however, he was fired for violating the clause in his contract with the franchise relating to sobriety.

Margera had alcohol struggles towards the end of 2020, the same time the film production kicked off. He was reportedly kicked off the project after missing a work-related zoom call. His co Star, Steve O, revealed that he was drunk at the time and could not answer the call.

The franchise's decision was closely followed by a campaign against them, including a court case and press tour to demand compensation and reinstate the actor in the project.

Margera publicly struggled with alcohol abuse and had been in and out of rehabilitation centers severally over the past few years. His most recent rehab incident was in June this year when he escaped from a help center.

After being deemed missing, Margera was eventually found in a hotel on Deerfield beach in Florida. Margera's family was among the crisis intervention team, along with the police. The 42-year-old was eventually checked into a new rehab facility.

His previous rehab escape happened two weeks before his most recent incident and involved an establishment in Delray Beach. Margera reportedly told the manager of the rehab facility that he planned on checking into another facility; however, the police were unable to find him.

The first of the comedy films, "Jackass: The Movie," was released in 2002, and the fourth film, "Jackass Forever," was released in theaters earlier this year. The movie received rave reviews and overall box office success upon its release.

The "Jackass" franchise is based only on a similarly named reality TV show and was created by Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine, and Spike Jonze. It follows the life of a group of friends who indulge in playing pranks on each other and doing stunts and skits.

The original "Jackass" aired on MTV for three seasons and produced nine movies. The multimedia franchise also included a "Bad Grandpa" spin-off, several video and mobile games, as well as merchandise for the franchise, and a tv series. In its two-decade run, the franchise has gathered an impressive fan base.
