Vocal legend Christina Aguilera isn't in any rush to get married.
The pop star has been engaged to Matthew Rutler for about eight years, and still, the loved-up couple isn't in a rush to walk down the aisle.
Aguilera and Rutler met on the location of the 2010 movie "Burlesque." At the time, Aguilera was in the midst of a divorce from ex-husband Jordan Batman with whom she shares 14-years-old Max.
The couple got engaged four years later and, since then, have begun their whirlwind romance. They have also been very vocal about taking their time before tying the nuptials; the sentiments remain the same seven years later.

'They Don't Need A Document To Prove Their Love'
Aguilera is in no rush to tie the knot after eight years of becoming engaged to guitarist Rutler; a source tells Us Weekly.
"There are no wedding plans at the moment. Christina and Matt are happy the way they are," the insider revealed. "They're one of those couples who don't need a document to prove their love for each other."
The source also shared that the couple is still very much in love. Also, the pop star "loves being a mom" but is not looking to expand her "blended family" any further.
"Christina is working on keeping her body the way it is and loves being on tour in the U.K. right now," the insider shared. "She's feeling good and back in her element doing what she loves."
The pop star had shared the same sentiments in the past. In 2015, she told E! News that she wanted to cherish the big moment so it won't feel rushed.
"Our love is secure enough that we don't need a wedding to prove our commitment," she explained. "We are enjoying our daughter, family, and work for now."
Christina Aguilera Will Be Releasing New Music Soon
Following the release of her Spanish album, "Aguilera," the pop star has been rumored to be back in the studio working on new music.
Although the new music is in its early days, the singer has been motivated to get things done. According to Us Weekly, the new release will consist of new sounds she has been experimenting with. "At the moment, she's experimenting with sounds, but it'll most likely be the dancey commercial sound with loud voices that fans adore."
She had previously disclosed that she released "Aguilera" so her children could learn about her heritage.
"To now approach new Spanish music at a time in my life where I've survived this business over decades and am a mother to my children, who I want to share a part of themselves, a part of their roots, a part of their heritage, has been such a beautiful blessing within itself," Aguilera previously shared.
Christina Aguilera Is Co-Parenting With Her Ex Husband
Aguilera and her ex-husband Jordan Batman are reportedly on very good terms.
In 2020, the former couple came together to celebrate the 12th birthday of their son, Max and Aguilera posted a cute picture on Instagram to that effect. The picture featured the pop star and her ex-husband sharing a meal with the birthday boy. While Batman holds the cake, Aguilera looks on with Max's hands around her.
"We make blended families work. It's a beautiful thing," she captioned the image, adding a love emoji. The pair got married in 2005 but split five years after. In 2010, Aguilera filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.
In her interview with People, she shared that she tried to make her marriage work for the sake of her son but felt like she was losing herself while doing so. Eventually, things couldn't work out, and the pair had to settle their custody agreement privately.
She Shares A Daughter With Her Fiancé
In 2014, the singer and her fiancé welcomed their first child together– Summer Rain Rutler. While this will be the first child for Rutler, this is the second for Aguilera as she shared 14-year-old Mac with her ex-husband.
As reported by Us Weekly, Summer was delivered via a Caesarian section at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Barely 24 hours later, Aguilera took to her Twitter to share the news with her fans and disclose her daughter's name.
"So proud to welcome our beautiful daughter Summer Rain Rutler into the world," Aguilera announced on Twitter.
