Author Stephen King might have just put out his scariest tweet to date!
Although "The Stand" author had previously shared a recipe for microwave salmon that put Twitter in an uproar, his new tweet about a certain summer sci-fi movie franchise might just be dubbed his "scariest" tweet yet... at least according to some fans.
Horror Master Stephen King Has Something To Say About The 'Sharknado' Franchise
I'd like another Sharknado movie.
— Stephen King (@StephenKing) August 22, 2022
The “Sharknado” film series, which starred Ian Ziering and Tara Reid, consisted of six made-for-television films that were released by Syfy between 2013 and 2018. Known for its celebrity cameos and ridiculous premise, the film franchise has actually expanded into a comic book series and video game.
Although it’s been a few years since the latest “Sharknado” film hit the small screen, the “Carrie” author took to Twitter on Monday to say, “I’d like another Sharknado movie.”
I have the tagline all ready to go. https://t.co/M6SWA3Jg8q

One user commented, "I have the tagline all ready to go," retweeting, "Sharks don't kill people. Tornados with sharks kill people."
How about a rampaging, salmon-hat-wearing teenage orcas movie? Swim By Me? Stranded By Me? https://t.co/LH64WbypTU

"How about a rampaging, salmon-hat-wearing teenage orcas movie? Swim By Me? Stranded By Me?'" another user asked. Considering that actor Dustin Hoffman made a cameo appearance to help fight sharks in space, the idea doesn't seem so hard to believe.
And direct

Other fans insisted they would only watch the film if Stephen King wrote and directed the film himself.
'Sharknado' Director Anthony Ferrante Weighs In!
I'd like to direct another one too. The key to each #Sharknado is remixing our playground with a slightly different genre. Now you've challenged us, sounds like we may have to add a dash of horror to our next tornado full of sharks!
— Anthony C. Ferrante (@acferrante) August 22, 2022
The tweet actually got the attention of Anthony Ferrante, who admitted, "I'd like to direct another one too."
"The key to each #Sharknado is remixing our playground with a slightly different genre," he continued. "Now you've challenged us, sounds like we may have to add a dash of horror to our next tornado full of sharks!"
It's not confirmed that fans are going to get another zany shark movie, but fans were quick to offer suggestions.
You mean sth like...😉 🌽🦈 pic.twitter.com/XeXgdLl7Ob

One fan shared a movie poster making a parody of the Stephen King work “Children of the Corn,” by replacing it with “Sharks of the Corn,” with the appropriately punny tagline, “You’re gonna get stalked!”
That might be the scariest thing you’ve ever written
— BC Beneke (@BenekeBc) August 22, 2022
However, other fans don't seem to want another movie, saying that the idea of a seventh "Sharknado" movie "might be the scariest thing you've ever written."
At least fans still have six "Sharknado" movies to watch while they wait for a possible number seven!
