After a highly publicised and often not-on-best-terms relationship with former 'Live' cohost Kelly Ripa, it seems as though no margin for error is being left between Michael Strahan and his current cohost Sara Haines.

The issues between the former friends and cohosts were covered by various media channels and Haines reveals that she actively does what she can to ensure that there is no tension between the current 'Good Morning America' hosts, a far cry from Strahan's tenure at 'Live' with Ripa.

When Strahan departed 'Live' to go work for 'Good Morning America, Ripa was allegedly very saddened and angered by the news.

In an article by People, a source close to the two explained that Ripa was, "told of the move just minutes before the announcement, and felt blindsided."

“There’s a part of me that can say, ‘Okay, I understand. This may have been an oversight,'” the talk show host mentioned in suggested reference to her former friend and long term costar Strahan.

“And again, after 26 years, at this point we are like a family. And sometimes when you are so comfortable with somebody, you may not give them the same consideration as somebody you’re not as comfortable with – a certain formality falls away.”

The star also added that she was "betrayed and hurt" by Strahan's decision and still can't find the right way to process why he would leave her so abruptly after spending so much time working together over the years.

Haines, Strahan, and other cohost Keke Palmer all seemingly have solid on-screen chemistry, which feeds in well to the narrative that them working together is proving to be a better match than Ripa and Strahan could ever be.

In reference to his highly publicized issues with former 'Live' costar, Strahan maintains that he did what he could to mend relations between the two, but Ripa showed reluctance to keep going after a certain point so his efforts subsided as well.

Haines told Page Six that the secret to their companionship is quite simple, "We all come from multi-sibling families where you’re taught very young that you’re not the center of this world, so there’s a modesty to all of us, a humility, and mostly there’s a gratitude."

She then added that Strahan expressed to her from the beginning that his entire goal with 'Good Morning America' was to cultivate a pleasant and well-functioning work environment, which Haines has kept as a pillar of her job performance ever since.
