Everyone's favorite trash television show 'Marriage Boot Camp' is back! 'Marriage Boot Camp: Hip Hop Edition' premieres tonight Thursday February 6th at 10:30 PM/EST. One of the most well known contestants is CeeLo Green formerly known as Gnarls Barkley. The "Forget You" singer might ready to reprise the hit single as he appears on 'Marriage Boot Camp' with fiancé Shani James. According to Distractify, James is a celebrity stylist who runs the style blog Knowstylegia and designed the reversible tracksuit known as Jemini Jogger.
This isn't CeeLo Green's first go at engagement. CeeLo was engaged to and even married Christina Johnson. The couple was married for five years and had their son Kingston together in 2000.
The trailer for this season of 'Marriage Boot Camp' shows potential for plenty of drama. The trailer credits CeeLo as being the show's biggest celebrity yet.''
"You gotta be patient with me. You know I ain't stupid," James says to which CeeLo replies, "I don't think you are as perfect as you think you are."
The trailer even hints that one person from one of the five couples slept with someone from another couple.
CeeLo proposed to Shani three years ago in 2015.
"It was just a typical night at the studio, but then again, not so typical cause I did something extra special, out of the ordinary," CeeLo revealed to People magazine at the time.
"I went and purchased a ring that we had seen together, maybe four or five months or so prior," he continued.
"I went back and purchased the ring and I just kind of had it stashed away in some old equipment. And I said, 'Will you reach in there and grab something for me?'" he concluded.
"I appreciate her openness and willingness to love unconditionally. She’s been so sweet to me through a number of different trials that come to test the resilience of a union to deem whether it’s worthy or not, whether it’s durable or strong enough," he said.
"I think now that I’m describing it as she’s standing here, it’s kind of, surreal because it’s not exaggerated. It’s absolutely true. It’s absolutely our private life," he continued.
"This is my first time putting it into words. It’s also given me the opportunity to give it a poetic justice."
It looks like the couple is going through one of those tests that he referred to a few years ago. Will they pass this test? They have 10 days to find out on 'Marriage Boot Camp.'
