What to Expect for 'RHONY' Season 12

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of 'Real Housewives of New York' for season 12. While other 'Real Housewive' have been more in the spotlight, 'RHONY' has brought in attention over original housewife Bethenny Frankel announced that she'd be leaving the show and Tinsley Mortimer announced her engagement to Scott Kluth. According to Showbiz Cheat Sheet, Andy Cohen announced that the trailer for season 12 is prepped and ready to be released. Until then, there is plenty of news about the changes that have been made on the show.
A new housewife, Leah McSweeney has entered the scene. Her co-stars promise that she'll provide plenty of drama.
"She’s quite a little number. I really like her. She’s really good,” Dorinda Medley told Bravo.
The Countess Luann de Lesseps revealed that the housewives threw some shade over McSweeney's tattoos. “Leah has some tats, so the Housewives, you can imagine Ramona [Singer] and Dorinda’s response to her, which was, ‘Um, really, tats? We don’t talk to people who have tats,’” she shared on Michelle Collins’ SiriusXM show. “She has a lot of them.”
Tinsley will return for season 12, but it will likely be her last.
“Tinsley moved to Chicago, but she’s not a New Yorker. She’s from Florida, she lived in Florida — that’s her residency,” Morgan said to Us Weekly.
“She’s never really been a New Yorker, she’s been living in a hotel, and you know I’m happy that she’s happy. She’s much happier where she is, let me tell you that. I can see it. … I’m not going to miss filming with her — what I’m going to miss is seeing her often.”
“I’ll go to Chicago and see her! I’m happy that she’s happy; that’s all I want,” she added on whether she'd stay in touch with Tinsley. “When I invited her to come to live at the townhouse it was to protect her from being co-dependent with guys that were mistreating her and not having her brand and not moving forward with herself, not being herself. I feel the time she did spend here with us, she did start to be herself again."
"She modeled in the fashion show. She did her charity, she did the circus. We really did well and I think that’s why she’s getting married now to the man of her dreams,” she continued.
Sonja Morgan, Dorinda Medley, Ramona Singer and Luann de Lesseps are all expected to return. "Friend" Barbara Kavovit will not return. This season's casting is a lot more stagnant than the changes made to the 'RHOC' cast. OG housewives Tamra Judge and Vicki Gunvalson will not return.
