Since the first really good look at WandaVisionappeared earlier this week, fans have caught something that seems like an homage to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen otherwise known as the Olsen Twins. Perhaps it has something to do with the star of WandaVision being Elizabeth Olsen, who happens to be the sister to the twins. Or perhaps it has something to do with a particular scene in the new trailer that looks like a tribute to Full House, the series that made the twins famous.

The Olsen Twins' found fame when they took on the role of Michelle Tanner in ABC's hit sitcom Full House. Although they shared the role, the two eventually became stars together and launched an entire empire based around their movies, merchandise and star power. As young women, they eventually became some of the most wealthy women in America, with a net worth over $450 million. Although they have since given up acting, they have a successful clothing line, among other endeavors.

Although many people don't realize it, Elizabeth Olsen is actually the younger sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley. She, too, took up acting at an early age and even appeared in many of her older sisters' movies. However, Elizabeth nearly gave it up after witnessing how the media treated Mary-Kate's eating disorder. Fortunately, Elizabeth stuck with it and continued to work, eventually landing the massive role of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. That role has led to a new TV series based on the character, WandaVision.

A new trailer that features clips from several upcoming Disney+ series has highlighted scenes from WandaVision, a trippy looking sitcom-inspired show that seems to pay tribute to several other classic sitcoms, including I Love Lucy. However, one Twitter user realized that one particular scene was a direct homage to Full House, the series that once starred Elizabeth's sisters. The scene is set in the 80s, with Elizabeth taking on the role of a mother to two sitcom kids, basically representing the younger Olsen Twins.
just realized Elizabeth Olsen is playing mom to two 80s sitcom twins when her sisters are literally *THE* 80s sitcom twins https://t.co/oDieEvkipl

We don't have a lot of details about the plot of WandaVision yet, save that it stars Elizabeth and Paul Bettany as Scarlet Witch and Vision. It will have some link to the upcoming Marvel film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which could explain part of why WandaVision seems so bizarre. The show is inspired by classic sitcoms, and will certainly pay tribute to those sitcoms. The first season, which will have six episodes, will premiere in December 2020.
