As one door opens, one closes. While Tamra Judge is excited to get back to the "Real Housewives of Orange County" for the new season, she's sad that she had to close the doors permanently on her and husband Eddie Judge's gym, CUT Fitness. The reality TV couple officially closed the doors to the Rancho Santa Margarita, California gym after nearly 10 years in business.

Business Was Good Until the Pandemic Began

CUT Fitness, which stands for "Cardio Unique Training" opened in March 2013, with a focus of personal training, nutrition coaching and race training. They didn't cater to big crowds and were more of an intimate fitness center. "We are a small group gym. We don't cater to the masses, ever. We never have more than 50 people here at a time," Tamra, 54, said back in March 2020 on a social media post. "We might be called a micro gym, but we are a very large facility, about 5,000 sq. ft."

COVID-19 halted their business for a while, but the two were able to bounce back after the lockdown. At that point, they leased some of their massive space to a chiropractor. But sadly, closing up shop was something they had to face earlier this summer.  At the end of June, the couple started to sell CUT Fitness equipment on the gym's official Instagram page and website. They are selling everything from workout equipment to weights and machines.

Talking About the Decision to Close the Gym on her Podcast

Tamra opened up about the gym's situation on an episode of her and Teddi Mellencamp Arroyave's iHeart podcast, "Two Ts in a Pod" earlier this week. When the topic of dealing with haters online joined the chat, Tamra said she recently got a comment from a fellow small business owner on Instagram saying, "Oh no wonder she's going back to [RHOC]. She has no money, she has to close her gym down." Addressing that comment, the reality star explained, "We decided to close our gym down way before I got asked back to the show. So that had nothing to do with anything that's going on right now."

Tamra is Getting Ready to Return to "RHOC"

Tamra is rejoining the cast of the Bravo series "RHOC" for season 17 after a two-season hiatus, after being fired from the show in January 2020. A source told Page Six back in July when it was revealed that she would be returning to the show, "Tamra is thrilled to come back to the show, especially after feeling the fan love from her stint on 'Ultimate Girls Trip.' She can't wait to get back in the mix on 'RHOC' and see how she can shake up the dynamic."

No Plans to Close Their Other Business

She went on to explain that the pandemic was the cause of things going downhill. "Listen, we almost made it to [10] years. I'm proud of what we did, what we built," she said. "And you know what, you'll all find out - more things are coming. It is what it is. It's sad. It's a loss. It's 100% a loss. It's hard." The couple also own a CBD company called "Vena." The products are currently sold online and in Sally Beauty stores. Tamra said on the podcast that there are no plans to close "Vena" and that it's "a very successful CBD business."
